Historically, the Lotus flower is believed to have originated in India, and is regarded as a sacred symbol in Hinduism! The Lotus flower can symbolise love and protection, and it's comestible roots are known to possess numerous health benefits such as: preserving heart health, regulating blood pressure, boosting the immune system and mood, aid cancer prevention, assist treatment of anemia and reduce inflammation!
And on top of all of that... They taste delicious when seasoned with amchoor (dried mango powder)!
