ASC Sarnal Storms into Quarter-Finals with Dominant Victory

What a day it was for ASC Sarnal. In a must-win match, the team lived up to its fighting spirit. For ASC Sarnal, the word “die” does not exist in their dictionary.

Batting first, ASC Sarnal posted a formidable total of 203 runs. Huzaif led the charge with a brilliant 63 runs. He was well supported by Salman with 28 runs, while Muzamil and Faisal chipped in with 24 runs each.

To stay alive in the tournament, ASC Sarnal needed to restrict Akura Sports to below 177 runs due to net run rate calculations. The bowlers rose to the occasion and delivered a tremendous performance, bowling out Akura Sports for 144 runs in 19 overs.

Amir “David” and Tawseef were the pick of the bowlers, taking 3 wickets each. Huzaif contributed with 2 wickets, and Irshad claimed 1 wicket to seal a comprehensive win.

ASC Sarnal won the toss and chose to bat first. They backed their decision with a solid batting display, posting a competitive total of 173 runs in 20 overs. The highlight of the innings was Zeeshan “Chikan” who lit up the ground with a blistering fifty off just 23 balls. His knock included 4 towering sixes and 5 crisp boundaries that brought the crowd to its feet.

Defending 173, ASC Sarnal’s bowlers came out firing. Aquib Mushtaq turned the game on its head with a sensational hat-trick that pushed Gousia Cricket Club onto the back foot early. The pressure only mounted when Irfan Bhat, known for his sharp cricketing brain, pulled off an impossible catch that broke the opponents’ momentum completely.
