Most people practice Bhramari Pranayama as just a humming soundтАж
But in my class, we experience it as a science of sound, breath, and awareness. ЁЯРЭтЬи
I teach Bhramari through a step-by-step exploration of sound and pitch, helping students truly feel where the vibration travels in the body.
We begin with awareness:
What is the difference between a throat sound, nasal sound, and head resonance?
Students are guided to observe:
тАв Throat-based humming тАУ heavier, grounding vibration
тАв Nasal sound тАУ more focused, centered
тАв Head resonance тАУ lighter, expansive, deeply calming
Then comes pitch awareness ЁЯО╢
Exploring low pitch vs high pitch, and noticing how each frequency affects the mind and nervous system differently.
Low pitch brings grounding and stability.
Higher pitch creates lightness and mental clarity.
Through this, Bhramari becomes more than a practice тАФ
it becomes an inner listening journey (Naad awareness).
This method helps:
тЬи Deepen concentration
тЬи Activate subtle vibrations in the body
тЬи Calm the nervous system more effectively
тЬи Enhance meditative awareness
Very few practitioners are taught to understand sound in BhramariтАж
But when you do, the practice transforms completely.
Because yoga is not just about doing тАФ
it is about feeling, observing, and experiencing at a deeper level. ЁЯТл
