Do you accept yourself ?
You may feel it is an odd question, as in what does it actually mean to accept yourself?
Self-acceptance means to value and embrace the good as well as the areas in us that need improvement. It is not a default state. While the good parts are easy to accept, we find accepting our weaknesses very difficult. Without acknowledging our shortcomings we can never work on improving them.
You must first understand that your actions and your qualities are separate from you. You make mistakes and you have flaws but don’t let them define you. You are a human being and you are not perfect. You need to be compassionate and kind towards yourself. Even if something is not the best part of you, it’s still you.. embrace it and then work on making it better.
When you accept yourself unconditionally, you will begin to love your authentic self and find it easy to acknowledge and work upon improving your not so desirable qualities. 😊

The colors are like no other, they swim and leap, they trickle and embellish! And yet you choose to fixate your eyes on the small fly which has landed on it! Why do you do such a thing?

As the news of lockdown extension came out, I saw a lot of people disappointed and expressing their frustration. The fact is, if you have a roof above you, your family is with you, your kitchen is stocked with food, you have clean water to drink and some source of entertainment - then you are amongst a few fortunate ones in the world. There is still a big percentage of population which is not so fortunate.
There are people on the road - with no roof above their heads, away from their loved ones, hungry from several days and no clean water to drink. There are families, where the sole bread earner is unable to go out to work, imagine the pain when they see their family crying out of hunger. Young kids must have broken their clay piggy bank to pool in some money to support their parents in arranging a meal. Imagine the pain..it’s devastating.
Be grateful and help as many people as you can..❤️

Hello Everybody !!
I am taking a virtual Zumba session on 18th April, Saturday. It is a 30 mins class and will be available for you between 8am to 1pm. You can take the class anytime during this window. 😊
Here is the link guys..
1. Open it in a browser. Safari or Chrome. Chrome has proven better.
2. There will be a pop up to login.
3. Log in using gmail or email. Without logging in the video won’t work.
4. In case you see a lock, refresh your browser and log in again. Or access the link in incognito mode.
5. Once you login. Just click on play and start the class.
6. Class is free and will be available from 8am to 1pm tmr. Post which the link will auto expire.

launched ZIN studio and I can’t keep it calm.😁 I am on a knee rehab since December 2019, had no clue when will I be able to go back to teaching. Then the world went into , while my ZIN friends continued to spread love and I was depressed that I couldn’t dance or keep people around me positive. Then came the news about ZIN Studio where ZINs can pre-record their classes and make it available for their students online. About same time I started to take baby steps towards dancing along with intense knee rehab. I rejoiced as I could do 2 songs daily, record them and by the weekend I could post a class. Yay 😍
So here is my happy face after recording 2 songs for the day 😇

Take this time to find your forgotten self, gather the courage you lost fighting the fake world, fill your heart with love and gratitude for people who never left your side and forgive those who were not there. Life gave us a chance to start fresh, build what was broken and mend our ways.. let’s give it an honest try.. ❤️❤️

Since the Corona outbreak started around the world, I am unable to focus on anything. I keep watching news and reading articles online to see if the situation is getting any better.
Listening to how the precious human lives are reduced to just numbers of dead bodies in each country, my heart shivers. How are the families of these passing souls coping with the sadness..scares me.
May god give them the strength to bear the irreparable loss and may the departed soul rest in peace.
How can you remain positive in such tough times:
1. Focus on positives : I recently came across a video from Italy, where people are cheering each other during lockdown by singing songs. It gave me so much joy. Another video from Wuhan, China.. where people were shouting from their apartments “we will get through this” “we can do this” to keep the neighbours motivated in such horrible times.
2. Give Thanks - maintain a gratitude journal. Where you can note down things that you are thankful for and keep referring to it whenever you feel sad or unhappy.
3. Reach out to your friends and family - Do not distance yourself mentally. Arrange audio or video calls every now and then with your loved ones. We all are in this together.
4. Get enough sleep - I can understand it is difficult to close our eyes and fall asleep in the night, when so much is happening around you. However, distract yourself..do some breathing exercises and do not see your phones or any gadget at least 2 hours before your bedtime.
5. It’s hobby time - indulge yourself in some hobby. Read, paint, dance, compose, cook.. anything that brings joy to your heart, now is the time to give it a shot.
6. Stay home and stay safe.
This too shall pass!!
