Hunger is not just a feeling.
It’s a body signal.

When your body actually needs food, your stomach releases a hormone called ghrelin.
This tells your brain that energy is required.
Digestion begins to prepare, appetite builds slowly, and the body becomes ready to receive food.
This kind of hunger:
• comes gradually
• feels physical, not urgent
• allows you to eat simple food and feel satisfied

Psychological hunger works differently.
It starts in the brain, not the stomach.
Stress, boredom, emotions, poor sleep, or constant screen time activate the brain’s reward system.
The brain then seeks quick comfort, typically in the form of sugar, salty snacks, or processed foods.
This is why psychological hunger:
• comes suddenly
• craves specific foods
• feels urgent or emotional

Pausing helps because it gives the thinking part of the brain time to respond instead of reacting.
When sleep, routine, and the nervous system are balanced, hunger signals become clearer and easier to trust.

Eat when the body asks.
Not when the mind is looking for distraction.

If you want to understand your body better, come practice with me.

Most people think undigested food just causes bloating or heaviness.
But it doesn’t stop there.
When digestion stays weak for a long time, that residue slowly affects deeper tissues.

In Ayurveda, it eventually reaches shukra dhatu — the reproductive tissue. Fertility issues don’t suddenly start in the uterus or ovaries.
They build up over time when the body isn’t digesting and assimilating properly.
So PCOS, PCOD, irregular cycles, hormonal ups and downs many times the root is much deeper than we realise. This is where yoga helps efficiently by working on digestion, nervous system balance, circulation, and hormonal regulation together.

This is exactly how I teach yoga for fertility, PCOS, PCOD, and hormonal imbalance.

We work on the foundation so the body can heal and regulate itself. Please write 'fertility' in the comments, and I'll share the class details with you.

Prenatal yoga is designed to support the body systems most affected during pregnancy, including posture, breathing mechanics, circulation, and the nervous system.

As the body changes across trimesters, practices need to be adapted for safety, comfort, and stability rather than intensity or outcomes.

Prenatal yoga works by responding to these changes with safe movement, breathing practices, and nervous system support, helping reduce unnecessary physical and mental strain.

When taught correctly, it supports day-to-day ease during pregnancy and prepares the body for recovery after birth. This is the approach I follow in my prenatal yoga classes.

Comment prenatal for class details.
