In Ayurveda, we call the pre-conception phase Garbhadhan Purva Paricharya. Just as we prepare the soil before planting a seed, we must prepare our body and mind before conceiving.
Why Anulom-Vilom?
As a Prenatal Yoga teacher, I always suggest starting with the breath. Anulom-Vilom (Alternate Nostril Breathing) is the best way to balance your 'Prana'. It detoxifies the system, balances your hormones, and reduces the stress that often gets in the way of conception.
When your nervous system is calm, your body feels "safe" to conceive. By practicing this for just 5-10 minutes daily, you are aligning your energy and creating a peaceful environment for your future baby.
