Your team brings you their problems. Your family leans on you. Your peers ask for advice.

But when was the last time someone asked how you were doing, and you actually answered?

Many leaders carry everything and process nothing.
They do because thereโ€™s no space built for it.

Youโ€™ve built a career that others respect.

But thereโ€™s a question you keep pushing aside.

โ€œWhy does something still feel incomplete?โ€

Itโ€™s not ingratitude. Itโ€™s not weakness.

It means youโ€™ve outgrown where you are.

I work with senior managers and leaders who are right there.

A goal without a clear reason can easily fade away when things get tough.

You might give up not because youโ€™re weak, but because you donโ€™t have a strong foundation.

Before you set a goal, take a moment to ask yourself why it really matters - what you want.

Questions for reflection:
โ–ฃ Is this really what I want, or is it just what I think I should want?
โ–ฃ Will I still care about it when things get hard?

A goal that fits with your purpose will really help you move forward, while one you choose for how impressive it seems might push you away.

When you find a goal that really speaks to you, youโ€™ll need less motivation.

The goal itself will become its own source of energy.

Ask yourself: if you took away the status and recognition, would your current goal still matter?

Your body is always keeping track, even if your mind tries to act like it isnโ€™t.

Think about that tight chest before a big meeting, the tiredness that sleep canโ€™t fix and that sudden irritability.

These arenโ€™t just random things happening. Theyโ€™re your bodyโ€™s way of telling you something.

Many people donโ€™t pay attention until something big gets in the way like a relationship, a job result or their health.

Emotional wellbeing is important. Itโ€™s what everything else depends on.

When youโ€™re not feeling well inside, it shows up at work, makes it hard to talk and people can tell even if you say youโ€™re fine.

You donโ€™t have to wait for your breaking point to take care of your emotional health.

Just stop pretending the signals arenโ€™t there and do something to take care of your wellness.

โžก๏ธ What signals impacting your emotional wellbeing have you been ignoring?

When you try to become someone else, you lose the one thing nobody else has.

Yourself.

It happens slowly.

You notice someone successful and start copying their language and their behaviour.

At first, it feels like learning.

Later, you stop asking what YOU think and start asking what THEY would do.

Following this path does not make you authentic.

Take inspiration from others - it is useful.

Do not choose their path entirely.

Because their path was built around their strengths, their experiences, their version of success.

Your path needs to be created around -

โžค Your strength
โžค Your experience
โžค Your version of success

What makes you different is your uniqueness.

Thatโ€™s authenticity.

I used to think some people were born knowing what they wanted.

I was not one of them.

For years, I kept watching others who seemed certain about their path. Their confidence looked natural. Like they had always known.

I assumed I was missing something.

Then I started trying things. Not because I had a plan. Just to see how each one felt.

Some felt wrong immediately. Others felt slightly interesting.

A few stayed with me long after I stopped doing them.

For example - writing, supporting othersโ€™ growth, etc.

That staying feeling was the clue.

Passion doesnโ€™t arrive surprisingly. It stays. It keeps showing up even when you ignore it.

If you have been waiting to feel certain before you start, stop waiting.

Start trying.

See what stays.

โžก๏ธ Whatโ€™s one thing you keep coming back to, even when life gets busy?

If you wait to feel motivated to start doing something, you may rarely start it.

To feel motivated, just start doing something.

Donโ€™t wait for motivation or Inspiration.

When you do, youโ€™ll automatically start feeling motivated.

โ–ท What people expect - feel ready and then act.

โ–ท What really works - act first to feel ready.

Pick one thing this week that you have been waiting to feel ready for.

Start it first. See what follows.

Do you make career choices this way?

Letโ€™s say, you are someone with 5 years of work experience and you think of pursuing a different career.

You start asking people what you can do and get many suggestions.

Some are valuable.
Others confuse you.

Then you go ahead and ask your colleagues and you get the recommendation about entrepreneurial journey.

Your confusions increase.

Not just because of your choices.

Itโ€™s because you had a question and kept looking for answers outside.

Your parents, colleagues, and friends.

Presently, you might have asked AI.

Finally, you reach a stage when you are left with questions and no clear answer.

Because you asked everyone and not yourself.

If youโ€™re wondering how to ask yourself, try this.

โž Spend some time alone (10 minutes or 1 hour - it doesnโ€™t matter).

โž Think about what your like and write down (it doesnโ€™t have to be passion, just what you like)

โž Keep writing all your ideas (Donโ€™t criticise yourself, or shortlist ideas now).

โž Once youโ€™re done, look at all your ideas.

โž You may find some interesting, some new, some from what others suggested).

โž Now choose those that you find meaningful (close your eyes and ask yourself. Donโ€™t ask others or AI).

โž Pick one idea from the list and sleep on it.

Donโ€™t make decisions now.

Just see how you feel about it after a week or so.

Later, ask yourself how you feel about your career choice.

If your idea still motivates you and you feel like doing it, may be thatโ€™s your way to go.

Whatever your choice is, test it.

Most of the time, the answers you look for are within your mind.

All you need is the time, space, and willingness to experience it.

What can you do when you are overwhelmed by endless choices?

You face many choices.
Career decisions.
Personal needs.
Too many options create overload.

In these moments, stay calm.
Calm is how you move through overload.

Calm sharpens focus.
It aligns you with your purpose.
It clears your path.

How can you practise this?

1. Clarify your goals

Focus on what matters now.
What do you want?
Why does it matter?

This defines your purpose.
This sets your path.

2. Understand what you want

Focus on what you need now.
Do not plan too far ahead.
Plan for today or this week.

Fewer thoughts create space.

3. Avoid distractions

Too much information breaks focus.
Social media adds noise.

Choose what you consume.
Choose when you consume it.

4. Align your needs with your purpose

Do you have a purpose?
If yes, connect your needs to it.

This drives action.
When new needs arise, ask:
Is this aligned?

5. Look ahead with intent

When something does not work, ask:
What can work now?

Talk to others.
Observe your thoughts.
Direct your thinking.

A calm mind sharpens thinking.

How do you respond when you face too many choices?
