Deeply saddened by the passing of Raja Randhir Singh ji, a towering figure in Asian and Indian sports administration.

A distinguished Olympian, Arjuna Awardee, and the first Indian to serve as President of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), his immense contribution towards the growth and development of sports in India and across Asia will always be remembered with great respect and gratitude. He played a pivotal role in strengthening India’s presence in the international Olympic movement and dedicated his life to the advancement of athletes and sports governance.

His legacy, leadership, and lifelong commitment to sports will continue to inspire generations to come.

OCA Director General Mr. Husain Al Musallam delivered a special message to the second World Press Briefing in Nagoya, reaffirming that Aichi-Nagoya will add yet another proud chapter to Japan’s Asian Games legacy, following Tokyo 1958 and Hiroshima 1994.

From producing new stars of Asian sport to paving pathways toward Los Angeles 2028, the Games promise to be truly historic.
