Meet HONOHON, the official mascot for the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games! 🔥🐉

The story and design concept behind HONOHON are super creative:

The Concept: Born from the fiery passion in athletes' hearts, blending with Shachihoko (the iconic guardian deity of Aichi-Nagoya). The name comes from "Honoho" (flame/rice ear) and features red Kumadori Kabuki-style theater makeup, nodding to the region's historical roots as the birthplace of bold samurai! 🎭✨

Superpowers & Fun Facts: Instead of speaking, HONOHON can magically produce any sound it imagines! Its big eyes watch over athletes across Asia, and its Shachihoko-like ears can hear cheers and children's laughter from all over.

The Designer: Created by award-winning graphic designer Yoshiyuki Nakagawa.
