Goal Busters FC 1 - 1 Storm FC

Farewell match for Naman Sirohi and Bhavya Singh as they leave for college education in other cities.

A highly pulsating clash between 2 strong lineups that was fueled by regular in match conflicts, banter and constant cheer from both teams' benches. That's how you get a thriller of a match!

Ended in a deserved draw with both teams constantly pressing as well as defending.

Classy midfielders for both clubs scored the goals.

A treat for the eyes - scored with a curling free kick into the top corner from 25-30 yards out, unstoppable!

Disappointed to concede a penalty kick that was converted eventually.

All in all - the perfect farewell match for our teammates.

Goal Busters FC 0 - 1 Faridabad United

Solid match yet again with a tough team.

Our gameplay remained balanced and we created chances too but could convert none.

Later in the game, lack of fitness was evident as our players couldn't fall back enough that cost us a goal.

Overall we played decent but not our day. Looking forward to more such matches!

Punjab Sports FC 4 - 4 Goal Busters FC

8 goals in 1 match - Undoubtedly the most thrilling and enjoyable match for the team in a long long time!

After a long time, we were up against the experienced lineup of Punjab Sports FC.

We started poorly by conceding a goal in the first 5 minutes due to loose defence. A good lesson to charge us up. We bounced back by scoring one back soon. It was almost half time when Bhavish Mehra started his run with the ball from our defence and went past every tackler on the way to reach the opposition's penalty box and then winning us a penalty kick. Some amazing stuff! Our new player Kamal converted the penalty kick to score his debut goal for the club and it was 1 - 2 at Half time.

Punjab Sports is not an easy opposition and they proved it by pressing hard for the first 15 minutes of the 2nd half with constant attacks eventually winning a penalty kick based on a controversial decision. They converted and it was 2- 2.

We moved on from that to get better in the match and keep more possession. It paid off as it led to another goal from Nikunj who controlled a through ball from the midfield after an intelligent run, then skillfully went past the keeper to make it 3 - 2.

To add further twist, we conceded another penalty kick from a hand ball. The opponents converted again.

For some reason, our keeper lost the focus at a crucial time when opponents were in a scoring position and we paid for it by conceding yet another goal.

We were down but not out with 5 minutes remaining.
Sagar made a challenging run on the right wing and finally crossed it to the striker who headed powerfully to score the equalising goal.

The full time whistle blew after 5 minutes and everyone on the field rejoiced for witnessing such a high voltage match. Super stuff!

Goal Busters has scored 13 goals in the last 3 matches! Need to work on the defence but great going.

Goal Busters FC 2 - 2 Faridabad United FC (formerly DCFC)

A great match against truly tough opponents.

We were 2 - 0 down after conceding 2 silly goals in the initial 20 minutes. But our gameplay had remained confident and we bounced back by making it 2 - 1 right before the half time.

We carried on the confidence into the 2nd half but the opponents kept a strong defence. Ultimately we got the breakthrough from a series of amazing passes to unlock the defence and making it 2 - 2.

A redemption indeed!
The opponents were on the backfoot from the very beginning.
Although they have physically tough defenders, we were able to smartly pe*****te with some good passing.

Based on some disappointing defensive lapses from our team, the extremely quick opponent attackers created some dangerous counter-attacks like the last time but could only manage to convert 1. We honestly were fortunate not to concede more goals because of their poor finishing.

"Fortunate" is not the word our team likes relying upon though, it is always a bonus, not a result of conscious efforts. So we need to work on all our weak areas to avoid any fortune turning into misfortune.

Glad to see Archit Sehgal's amazing contribution with a brace and assist as well.

Proud to see the youngster Kartikayan scoring his maiden hat-trick for the team within 20 minutes of coming in as a substitute!

The team performance wasnt as bad as the scoreline suggests.

Both the teams were neck and neck throughout the match.
Our squad unfortunately played without any proper center backs.

Naman Sirohi and Gurdeep Singh did extremely well to fit in to the unnatural position.

Both teams created equally threatening chances and the opponents scored on a small lapse of concentration from our team.

All in all a solid experience for the team.
Another loss, another humbling experience, yet more lessons.

We had more possession.
We had more scoring chances.
We had more of everything.
BUT THE OPPONENTS HAD MORE GOALS AND THAT IS WHAT MATTERS!

Attackers didnt convert the chances that were created.
Midfielders didnt perform as per their standards.
Defensive errors continue.
Keeping was surprisingly well aligned with the poor team performance.

We got the deserving result in the end.

And credit to the opponents for making us realise that a team that converts its chances leaves the ground with heads held high.

We are still learning, still trying to be better.

And we will be!
