The Ukrainian President has made the judgmental blunder of trusting the US & NATO for the support they are going to offer him. He didnโ€™t learn from history. He has taken the word of NATO countries that "they are with him" too far and concluded that the US and NATO will help him with their armies in fighting against Russia.

What individuals say to you does not necessarily imply that they will follow through. Determine to what extent they can assist you and how they will assist you. Donโ€™t take people at their face value. They may have other self-motivated agendas too.

The Ukrainian President has not done the proper SWOT analysis of the entire scenario. When you know that you are less powerful, then it is better to be wise and resolve the issue with diplomacy rather than war. This war could have been avoided if they had engaged in dialogue with Russia & tried to figure out a win-win situation for themselves.

The lack of farsightedness is a sign of political immaturity. ๐“๐ก๐ž "๐Ž๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐œ๐ก" ๐ฉ๐ž๐จ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ž: They are defensive, non-hostile people. They are naรฏve and tend to behave foolishly. If you tell them not to pass on this information to Mr. X, they will pass it on to Mr. X and will also reveal that you have told them not to disclose this to Mr. X.

Their inner desire is to be in the good books of everyone. They are unable to read the situation and canโ€™t see the danger, as a result, they are being misused and get into the trap. They are so naรฏve that they canโ€™t see they are being manipulated by others. They are verbally active but passive in action. They are a good worker but risk avoider.

They think other people will help them when they are in need, but in reality, people see them just as a โ€œresource.โ€ When downsizing or cost-cutting activity happens in the organization, such people are the first ones to be thrown out & they get surprized as why this has happened to them.

๐“๐ก๐ž โ€œ๐Œ๐จ๐ง๐ค๐ž๐ฒโ€ ๐ฉ๐ž๐จ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ž: They are aggressive, hostile, and clever people. They are quite active and open about what they say and do just because they are in relation or knew some top-shot person, who is their โ€œGodfatherโ€ in the organization. They take undue advantage of this relationship. Openly tell others in the organization how close they are to the top boss. They bully other colleagues, apply pressure tactics and make them do their work.

They hardly work. Their main job is to collect and pass on all the grapevine information to the godfather. They are involved in all sorts of monkey business. Sometimes they are deliberately planted by a top boss in a particular department to know more about the ground realities or activities of some people. They behave like the eyes and ears of the top brass.

If you can identify with someone like this in your peer group, label them as โ€œ๐Œ๐จ๐ง๐ค๐ž๐ฒโ€ in your corporate jungle.

๐“๐ก๐ž โ€œ๐๐ฒ๐ญ๐ก๐จ๐งโ€ ๐ฉ๐ž๐จ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ž: They are a different class of passive-aggressive people. They are very smooth sweet talkers & sophisticated in their mannerisms. They show a lot of warmth and pleasing gestures towards their opponent in public, but internally in their hearts, they intensely hate and want to finish that person. You canโ€™t judge them by their body language, whatโ€™ going on in their mind. They have a habit of passing sarcastic remarks in a lighter vein with a lot of puns.

They are very calculative & think two moves ahead like a chess player. They are not in a hurry and have a lot of patience. They work in a disguised & secretive manner. First, they try to win the trust of their opponents, and then they crush them. They backstab you, and you donโ€™t even come to know about it.

They are keen on office grapevines and corporate gossips going around. They are also the active spreader of this news to other colleagues. They barter information by giving one piece of information and try to get two pieces of information from others.

People come to them for inside stories, and they feel proud about this & their contacts. They love bitching and find it hard to keep information in their stomach.

In the zoo, you are free, animals are in the cage whereas, in safari, animals are free, you are in a cage. Now it is up to you what you want a corporate zoo or a jungle safari at your workplaceโ€ฆ.

They are hostile but donโ€™t go for open confrontations; they are manipulative and try to use other people for their own benefit.

They instigate other people against their opponents. They get involved in backbiting, creating gossips and rumors. Mostly they try to harm by tarnishing their opponentsโ€™ image by the indirect verbal method.

If you can identify with someone like this in your peer group, label them as โ€œFoxโ€ in your corporate jungle.

We all work in a โ€œCorporate Jungleโ€ and my aim is to make it a โ€œCorporate Zooโ€ for youโ€ฆโ€ฆ for that , the best way is know things around you.
In โ€œKnow your Colleagueโ€ series you will get the insight on the what kind of people you are working with at your workplace and what type of โ€œanimalโ€ they are.

In this series, the new animal is "๐‹๐ˆ๐Ž๐" .

๐“๐ก๐ž โ€œ๐‹๐ข๐จ๐งโ€ ๐ฉ๐ž๐จ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ž: They are aggressive and clever people. Strong leadership quality with โ€œfollow meโ€ approach. Very demanding, focused, believe in open and direct communication. If they donโ€™t like something, it is on their tongue, not very diplomatic. They are swift in their mind and action. If you in his/her good books, he/she will stand & fight for you.
