రోజు మారుతుంది.. వారం మారుతుంది.. నెల మారుతుంది.. సంవ‌త్స‌రం మారుతుంది.. కానీ గ‌డిచిన ఈ గ‌తంలో మ‌నం ఏమైనా మారామా అనేదే ముఖ్యం. మార్పు అనే ప‌దం రెండ‌క్ష‌రాలే.. కానీ మార‌డం చాలా క‌ష్టం.. అయితే మ‌న సంబంధం లేకుండా కాలం మాత్రం మారుతూనే ఉంటుంది. దానిని ఆప‌లేం. కానీ ప్ర‌తి సంవ‌త్సరం మారిన‌ప్పుడు మాత్రం సంబరాలు చేసుకుంటాం. ఎందుకు చేసుకుంటామో మాత్రం ఎవ‌రికీ తెలియ‌దు. ఒక సంవ‌త్స‌రం గ‌డిచింది అంటే నీ జీవితంలో ఒక ఏడాది ముగిసినట్లే. అంటే నువ్వు ముస‌లిత‌నానికి చేరుతున్న‌ట్లే. అలాంట‌ప్పుడు ఎందుకు ఈ సంబ‌రాలు. పోనీ చేసుకున్నా ఎందుకు చేసుకుంటున్నామో తెలుసుకోవాల‌న్నా త‌ప‌న‌న్నా ఎవ‌రికైనా ఉందా అంటే అది లేదు. ఉండ‌దు. నీది అనుకుంటున్నదేదీ నీది కాదు. అంటే ఎప్పటికీ నీతో ఉండేది కాదు. కాలం అలాగే. అంతేకాకా కాలం అస‌లు తిరిగి రాదు. ఈ రోజు శరీరం పట్ల ఉన్న‌ శ్రద్ధా.. కాలం గ‌డిచిన కొద్ది ఉంటుందా.. ఉండ‌దు. నీ శ‌రీరంపై నీకే మోజు త‌గ్గుతుంది. మ‌న శ‌రీరంపై మ‌న‌కు మోజు ఉన్న‌ప్పుడు దానిని క‌ష్ట‌పెట్టే ప‌ని చేయం. అదే శ‌రీరం మారుతూ వ‌స్తున్న కొద్ది.. ఆ మోజు తగ్గిన కొద్ది క‌ష్ట‌పెడుతూ ఉంటాం. ఎందుకో తెలుసా మ‌నం శ‌రీరంపై మోజుతో చేయాల్సిన ప‌నిని చేయాల్సిన సమ‌యంలో చేయ‌డం లేదు. అలాగే మ‌నం య‌వ్వ‌నంలో ఉన్న‌ప్పుడు కాలం క‌నుమ‌రుగైనా ప‌ట్టికోం. అందుకేనేమో ఈ ప్రపంచంలో త‌న శ‌రీరాన్ని స‌మ‌యానుసారం వాడుకునే వాళ్లు 5 శాతం మాత్ర‌మే ఉన్నారు. రోజు మారినా సంవ‌త్స‌రం మారినా మ‌నం ఎంత మారాం అని తెలుసుకుంటేనే.. ఇలా మారిన సంవ‌త్స‌రానికి సంబరాలు కాకుండా.. మ‌నం మారిన‌ క్షణంనా సంబ‌రాలు చేసుకుంటాం. నీ చేతిలో ఎంత కాలముంటుందో తెలియ‌దు. చూస్తుంటే సంవ‌త్స‌రాలే కాదు.. కాలాలే క‌రిగిపోతుంటాయి. కానీ మ‌నం క‌రిగిపోయే వ‌ర‌కైనా ఈ కాలం గ‌డిచినందుకు మ‌నం ఎందుకు కాల‌యాప‌న చేస్తున్నామో తెలుసుకుందాం. కాలంతో పాటు మ‌నం మారుదాం!

His National Defence Academy friends remember him as "selfless", "generous" and "calm and composed". Today is Janmadin of a brave soldier Sandeep UnniKrishnan.

Sandeep Unnikrishnan (15 March 1977 – 28 November 2008) was a Major in the Indian Army serving in the elite Special Action Group of the National Security Guards (NSG). He was killed in action while fighting terrorists in the November 2008 Mumbai attacks.His bravery was honoured with the Ashoka Chakra, India's highest peace time gallantry award, on 26 January 2009.

“Do not come up, I will handle them”, were the last words which Major Unnikrishnan told his men as he was hit by bullets while engaging terrorists inside the Taj Mahal Palace & Tower during Operation Black Tornado, according to NSG officials.

Later, NSG sources clarified that when a Guardsman got injured during the operation, Major Unnikrishnan arranged for his evacuation and started chasing the terrorists himself. The terrorists escaped to another floor of the hotel and during the chase Major Unnikrishnan was seriously injured and succumbed to his injuries.

Martyr Lt. Col. Niranjan, NSG. We lost him in Pathankot terrorist attack. He deserves a Salute. We are proud of you.
