SEWA MP provides livelihood oppotunities to women who have suffered badly in Covid-19 pandemic. One such woman is Priya Barjetia. Let's know her story in her words:

'In my family there were 5 members; me, my husband and three children. My husband used to work in a company but he died of Coronavirus in 2021. It became difficult for me and my children to live. Then I attended a meeting by SEWA MP in my neighbourhood, in which I came to know about a livelihood opportunity. After joining SEWA MP my life has changed. I attened a marketing training by Rachna Mahila Grah Udyog so that I could sell their products. I started earning good money by selling the products from home, and could improve the future of my children. I have also learned about my rights an the benefits I should receive which I had no idea about before. I was also selected for the post of Master Trainer in which I give training to other women, and now I earn Rs.7,000 per month.

I got an opportunity to increase my livelihood, and I hope to add more women and help them in getting livelihood opportunities.'

सेवा मप्र उन महिलाओं को आजीविका के अवसर प्रदान करता है जो कोविड-19 महामारी के कारण बहुत पीड़ाएँ सहन करनी पड़ी हैं। ऐसी ही एक महिला हैं प्रिया बड़जेतिया। आइए जानते हैं उनकी कहानी उनकी ज़ुबानी:

'मेरे परिवार में 5 सदस्य थे; मैं, मेरे पति और तीन बच्चे। मेरे पति एक कंपनी में काम करते थे लेकिन 2021 में कोरोनावायरस से उनकी मृत्यु हो गई। मेरे और मेरे बच्चों के लिए जीना मुश्किल हो गया। फिर मैंने अपने मोहल्ले में सेवा मप्र की एक बैठक में भाग लिया जहां मुझे आजीविका के अवसर के बारे में पता चला। सेवा मप्र से जुड़ने के बाद मेरी जिंदगी बदल गई है। मैंने रचना महिला गृह उद्योग के उत्पादों को बेचने के लिए मार्केटिंग प्रशिक्षण लिया और उन्हें घर से बेचना शुरू किया। मुझे अच्छे पैसे मिलने लगे और मैं अपने बच्चों का भविष्य सुधरने के काबिल बनी। मैंने अपने अधिकारों और उन लाभों के बारे में भी जाना जो मुझे मिलने चाहिए और जिनके बारे में मुझे पहले कोई जानकारी नहीं थी। मुझे मास्टर ट्रेनर के पद के लिए भी चुना गया जिसमे मैं दूसरी महिलाओं को प्रशिक्षण देती हूँ, और अब मैं प्रति माह 7,000 रुपये कमाती हूँ।

मुझे अपनी आजीविका बढ़ाने का अवसर मिला, और मुझे आशा है कि मैं मेरे जैसी और महिलाओं को सेवा से जोड़कर उन्हें आजीविका के अवसर प्राप्त करने में मदद करुँ।'

The production of Potato Wafers for this season has started in our processing unit at Indore. This unit is run under our cooperative society ‘Rachana Mahila Grah Udyog’, and provides livelihood to poor women workers who are affected by the Covid pandemic. Everything is done keeping in mind the Covid protocols. They are freshly-made, using the best ingredients, and will taste great and last you longer.

आलू चिप्स का उत्पादन हमारे इंदौर प्रॉसेसिंग यूनिट में शुरू हो गया है। यह यूनिट हमारी सहकारी समिति 'रचना महिला गृह उद्योग' के तहत चलाई जाती है, और उन गरीब महिला श्रमिकों को आजीविका प्रदान करती है जो कोविड महामारी से प्रभावित हैं। सब कुछ कोविड प्रोटोकॉल को ध्यान में रखते हुए किया जाता है। सभी चिप्स सबसे अच्छी सामग्री का उपयोग करके नए सिरे से बनाए गए हैं, और आप लंबे समय तक उनका आनंद ले पाएँगे।

The Sandesh Vyavahaar program was started in Ujjain, Dewas and Dhar districts by Sewa Madhya Pradesh due to the difficult circumstances of the Coronavirus epidemic. Under this, 900 women members of rural and urban areas were given various food items (masala, papad, badi, pulses, etc.) to sell on commission to increase their livelihood, and to bring positive economic and social changes in their lives. Along with this, marketing workshops were also organized to develop their capacities. The members who sold the most goods in the last 6 months were encouraged and rewarded by the secretary of SEWA MP, Kavita Malviya.

उज्जैन, देवास एवं धार जिलों में सेवा मध्य प्रदेश के द्वारा कोरोना काल की कठिन परिस्थितियों के चलते संदेश व्यवहार कार्यक्रम शुरू किया गया था। इसके अंतर्गत ग्रामीण एवं शहरी क्षेत्र की 900 बहनों को आजीविका बढ़ाने के लिए कमीशन पर विभिन्न खाद्य सामग्री (मसाला, पापड़, बड़ी, दाले, आदि) बेचने के लिए दिया जाता है, और इससे बहनों के जीवन मे सकारात्मक रूप में आर्थिक व सामाजिक बदलाव आया है। साथ ही इनकी सामान विक्रय की क्षमता का विकास करने के लिए मार्केटिंग वर्कशॉप का आयोजन किया गया था, जिसके अंतर्गत इन 900 बहनों को सामान बेचने के क्या स्त्रोत हो सकते हैं व साल भर में आने वाले त्यौहार पर किस तरह से सामान बेचने की क्या योजनाए होनी चाहिए यह सब सिखाया गया। पिछले 6 माह की अवधि में जिन बहनों ने अच्छा सामान बेचा उन्हें सेवा मप्र की सचिव कविता मालवीय द्वारा पुरस्कृत कर प्रोत्साहित किया गया।

Marketing workshops were conducted with 50 SEWA Saathis of Ujjain, Dewas and Dhar districts under the Sandesh Vyavahaar Project being run by Sewa Madhya Pradesh. They sell products of Rahhwa brand to increase their livelihood. Under this, they were given complete information about which techniques they can use to sell more and more of their goods through marketing, so that their income can be increased.

सेवा मध्य प्रदेश द्वारा चलाये जा रहे संदेश व्यवहार परियोजना के अंतर्गत उज्जैन, देवास एवं धार जिले की 50 सेवा साथियों के साथ मार्केटिंग वर्कशॉप की गयी। यह सेवा साथी अपनी आजीविका को बड़ाने के लिए रहवा ब्रांड के प्रोडक्ट बेचती हैं। उसी के अंतर्गत उन्हें मार्केटिंग के माध्यम से कौन-कौन सी तकनीक का उपयोग कर के अपना सामान ज़्यादा से ज़्यादा बेच सकते हैं, उसके बारे में सम्पूर्ण जानकारी दी गई, जिससे उनकी आय बड़ाई जा सके।

300 Women entrepreneurs involved in Stitching trade are being oriented by Rachna Mahila Grah Udyog. The aim of this orientation is to enhance skills of WEs for providing potential market and increasing their earnings. After the training, all the WEs will be linked with the market.

सिलाई के व्यवसाय में शामिल 300 महिला उद्यमियों को रचना महिला गृह उद्योग द्वारा दिशानिर्देश किया जा रहा है। इस दिशानिर्देश का उद्देश्य इन महिला उद्यमियों का कौशल बढ़ाना, उनकी कमाई बढ़ाना और संभावित बाज़ार प्रदान कराना है। प्रशिक्षण के बाद सभी महिला उद्यमियों को बाज़ार से जोड़ा जाएगा।

The Corona epidemic took away the means of livelihood of poor women and their families working in the unorganized sector. They also lost their working capital. Rachna Mahila Griha Udyog is an industrial cooperative organization of poor working women of the unorganized sectors, which has taken its steps forward to restore their livelihood.

Surveying marginal women farmers and directly buying the crops (cereals and spices) produced by them in Dhar, Barwani, Dewas and Khandwa. We organized training for them to prepare Green Pulse Chunks, Papadam, Chips and Chakli. We also started processing units at Dhar, Dewas and Ujjain for grinding of the spices. We started marketing of the ready products, cereals and pulses under the brand 'Rahhwa'. For this, 1,000 women from villages and cities were given marketing training. They were given materials to sell on credit. This initiative helped them in restarting their livelihood and their life slowly begins to come on track.

The living example of which are ‘Leela Gehlod and Kanta Akodia’ of Ujjain. Earlier, they used to sell coconuts outside temples, but it wasn’t enough in sustaining their livelihood as they could only earn Rs.2,000 per month. Then they became a part of co-operative initiative and took training of marketing and started selling Rahhwa products along with coconuts. Now they sell goods worth Rs.1,000-1,2000 per day and earn Rs.3,000-3,500 per month, which is fulfilling their basic needs.

कोरोना महामारी ने असंगठित क्षेत्र में कार्यरत ग़रीब महिलाओं एवं उनके परिवारों के आजीविका के साधन छीन लिए। उनकी सारी कार्यशील पूँजी ख़त्म हो गयी। रचना महिला गृह उद्योग असंगठित क्षेत्रों की गरीब श्रमजीवी महिलाओं की औद्योगिक सहकारी संस्था है जिसने इनकी आजीविका को पुन: स्थापित करने हेतु अपने कदम आगे बढ़ाए।

सीमांत महिला किसानों का सर्वे कर के धार, बड़वानी, देवास, खंडवा और उज्जैन में उनके द्वारा उत्पादित फ़सलों को सीधे ख़रीदा जिसमें अनाज और मसाले प्रमुख है। उनके लिए बड़ी, पापड़, चिप्स, चकली और मसाले तय्यार करने के प्रशिक्षण आयोजित किए। मसालों की कुटाई और पिसाई हेतु धार, देवास और उज्जैन में प्रोसेसिंग यूनिट प्रारम्भ की। तय्यार उत्पाद जैसे पिसे और खड़े मसाले और अनाज की मार्केटिंग ‘रहवा’ ब्रांड के अंतर्गत शुरू की। इसके लिए गाँव और शहरों की 1,000 महिलाओं को मार्केटिंग प्रशिक्षण दिए। इनको सामग्री उधार पर बेचने हेतु दी। इस पहल ने उन्हें अपनी आजीविका फिर से शुरू करने में मदद की और उनका जीवन धीरे-धीरे पटरी पर आने लगी।

इसका जीवंत उदाहरण है उज्जैन के लीला गहलोद और कांता आकोदिया। वे पहले मंदिर के बाहर नारियल बेचने का कार्य करते थे परंतु इस कार्य से उन्हें ज़्यादा कमाई नहीं हो पाती थी। वो सिर्फ़ 2,000 रुपए महीना ही कमा पाती थी। फिर वे सहकारी पहल का हिस्सा बने और मार्केटिंग प्रशिक्षण लिया और उन्होंने नारियल के सामान के साथ रहवा के उत्पाद भी बेचने शुरू किए। अब वो प्रतिदिन 1,000-1,200 रुपए का सामान बेच देते है और महीने के 3,000-3,500 रुपए तक कमाई कर लेते है जिससे उनकी मूलभूत आवश्यकता पूर्ण हो रही है।

My name is Vishnu Ishwar Kushwaha, and I am a resident of Birwal village. I used to work as a laborer. I opened a cutlery shop after saving some money. The shop wasn’t running well, and then lockdown happened. Currently I am associated with the Sandesh Vyavahaar project. I earn Rs.3,000 per month and I can fulfill my basic needs with it. Before I didn’t know how to use a mobile phone, but after I was trained by the Rachana Mahila Griha Udyog I can now run the app and sell goods by taking online orders.

मेरा नाम विष्णु ईश्वर कुशवाह है, और मैं बिड़वाल गाँव की रहने वाली हूँ।मैं पहले मजदूरी का काम करती थी।उससे मैंने पैसे जोड़कर कटलरी की दुकान खोली।दुकान ज्यादा नही चलती थी और फिर लॉकडाउन लग गया, तो आय जो होती थी वो भी होना बंद हो गई।वर्तमान में मैं संदेश व्यवहार परियोजना से जुड़ी हूँ।उसमें मैं 3,000 रुपए कमाती हूँ जिससे मेरी मूलभूत आवश्यक्ता पूरी हो पा रही हैं।मैं पहले मोबाइल भी चलाना नही जानती थी, परन्तु रचना महिला गृह उद्योग से मुझे प्रशिक्षण मिला और अब मैं एप भी चला सकती हूं और ऑनलाइन आर्डर लेकर सामान भी बेचती हूँ।

To provide livelihood to small and marginal women farmers in Dewas, Ujjain, Dhar and Barwani, sister organisation SEWA MP build their capacities for marketing of Rahhwa products. Rachna Mahila Cooperative gave them Rahhwa products for selling on credit basis and generated livelihood of around 1000 women by this.

देवास, उज्जैन, धार और बड़वानी में लघु सीमांत महिला किसानों को आजीविका प्रदान करने के लिए सिस्टर संगठन सेवा मध्य प्रदेश रहवा उत्पादों के विपणन के लिए उनकी क्षमता का निर्माण करते हैं।रचना महिला सहकारी ऋण के द्वारा रहवा के उत्पादों को आधार पर बेचने के लिए उन्हें देते हैं और लगभग 1000 महिलाओं की आजीविका उत्पन्न करते हैं।
