Grief doesn’t go away..
Grief stays the same.
You grow around your grief
You become stronger.
You will never be the same after losing a loved one. It’s one of the most difficult times to navigate.
Grief changes you in ways that you can never anticipate.

July. Mostly, a few good days, a few random moments doing what I love. People I’m glad I got to spend time with, and photos that felt worth keeping and taking (and uploading). Nothing too deep, just a month of moments I enjoyed more than I realised at the time.

Focus on how they behave with you, not what they say to you.
Listen to understand.
Basing your views on people on others people’s opinions means you’re wholeheartedly trusting the judgement of someone who has a biased perspective.
Self love is good, but it can also be vanity. Self critique is good but it can also create low self esteem.
You’re not teaching others to become you.
If they’re really sorry, they will change their behaviour.

10 things about me…
Grateful for all the new people here, thought I would share a few things about me so you know what to expect…
1. I always remind my wife… I don’t enjoy cooking, but if I did, I suspect I would be great at it!
2. I’m very passionate about things I believe in, whether it’s an opinion on sport, philosophy, relationships or an injustice. Probably the reason I spend the time I do sharing and creating an environment conducive to growth.
3. I loved hip hop growing up. Who do you think I preferred of these two?
4. My first love was playing football. (That’s soccer in proper English)
5. I love sharing spirituality, but more so when it involves building community from it, something I’ve been fortunate enough to do for over 20 years.
6. I am a test match cricket geek. My childhood hero was…
7. My favourite performance in any movie. Do you know who it is?
8. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada’s life and books changed my life. Still my greatest inspiration.
9. My favourite verse from the Gita.
10. I met my wife on a pilgrimage in the holy city of Vrindavan. We now spend all day everyday together, and she’s still not fed up of me!
If you know, you know…
