Heartfelt Condolences: Demise of Mr. Gurvinder Singh 'Gullu'
​It is with profound grief and a heavy heart that the Surjit Hockey Society, Jalandhar, informs you of the sad demise of our Chief PRO, Mr. Gurvinder Singh 'Gullu'.
​A former Secretary of Punjab & Sind Bank, Delhi, Mr. Singh breathed his last today in Bangalore. His departure is an irreparable loss to the sports fraternity and the Society he served so passionately. The entire Surjit Hockey Society family is deeply shocked and stands in solidarity with his grieving family.

🏑 Honoured at the Bhulth Hockey Cup 2026!
​It was a privilege to be part of the final day celebrations of the Bhulth Hockey Cup 2026 on March 22nd.
​I am deeply humbled to have been recognized by the organizing committee for my contributions to the sport. A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Mohanbir Singh Bal, MD of Bal Incorporation, Australia, and the visionary head of this tournament, for presenting me with this beautiful memento as the Guest of Honour.
​The energy and talent on display today remind us why hockey remains the pride of our region. Seeing leaders like Mr. Bal invest so much passion into the game is truly inspiring for the entire hockey community.
​Onwards and upwards for Indian Hockey! 🇮🇳🏏

It was an honor to attend the grand opening of the Bholath Gold Cup-2026 today at the historic Surjit Hockey Stadium, Jalandhar! 🏑✨
​A huge congratulations to Mr. Mohanbir Singh Bal (MD, Bal Incorporation, Australia) for organizing such a magnificent tournament for both men and women. It is heartening to see such dedicated support for our national sport.
​I had the privilege of being the Guest of Honour during the thrilling second match between CAG Delhi and Petroleum Sports Control Board, Mumbai. The level of talent on the field was truly world-class!
​Thank you, Mr. Bal, for the wonderful hospitality and for putting Jalandhar back on the global hockey map. Best of luck to all the participating teams! 🙏

ਸੰਧੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ੋਕ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਇਆ ਸਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਠਣਾ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਦੁਖਦਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਔਖਾ ਪੜਾਅ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਘਾਟਾ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਪੂਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਚਾਹੇ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਕਿੰਨੀ ਵੀ ਦੂਰ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਾ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਛੋੜਾ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਅਸਹਿ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ​ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਹਮਦਰਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਘੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਸੁਰਜੀਤ ਹਾਕੀ ਸੁਸਾਇਟੀ ਢਿੱਲੋਂ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹਨ। ਸੰਧੂ ਨੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਅੱਗੇ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਵਿਛੜੀ ਨੇਕ ਰੂਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਬਖਸ਼ਣ ਅਤੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਭਾਣਾ ਮੰਨਣ ਦਾ ਬਲ ਅਤੇ ਹੌਂਸਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ।
