3rd Olympian Varinder Singh 5A Side Women's Hockey Tournament

Round Glass LKC W Jalandhar defeated Khalsa Academy Amritsar 7-6 to win the title

Jalandhar, April 5 ( ) Round Glass LKC W Jalandhar defeated Khalsa Academy Amritsar 7-6 after a tough match to win the 3rd Olympian Varinder Singh 5A Side Women's Hockey Tournament. Jalandhar defeated Lyallpur Girls 11-10 to win the third position. The winners of the tournament held at the Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women Hockey Ground in Jalandhar were distributed by Olympian Mukhbain Singh, the partner of Olympian Varinder Singh. The winning team was given a trophy along with Rs. 21000 in cash and hockey sticks by Alpha Hockey. While the runner-up team was awarded with a runner-up trophy, Rs. 15000 in cash and Alpha hockey sticks. While the third-placed team from Jalandhar was awarded with a third-place trophy, Rs. 10000 in cash and T-shirts. Savina Rani of Round Glass LKC W Jalandhar was declared the best player of the tournament and was awarded Rs. 5100 and an Alpha hockey stick. Mahima of Khalsa Academy Amritsar was declared the best scorer of the tournament and was awarded Rs. 3100 in cash and an Alpha hockey stick. While Kirandeep Kaur of LKCW Jalandhar was declared the best goalkeeper. She was awarded Rs. 3100 and an Alpha hockey stick. On this occasion, Mrs. Manjit Kaur, wife of Olympian Varinder Singh, was specially honored. During the tournament, the doctors of DAV Physiotherapy Institute provided the best services.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Olympian Mukhbain Singh said that he has spent 37 years of his life with Olympian Varinder Singh and he has always considered Varinder Singh as his younger brother and he has a close relationship with this family.

During today's final match, Olympian Sanjeev Kumar, Gundeep Singh Kapoor, international players Ram Saran, Dharampal, Satpal Singh Munshi, Barinder Singh Sian. Gurminder Singh, Gurjit Singh President Sports Club Dhanowali, Ravinder Singh Lali, Olympian Varinder Singh's son Gurpreet Singh, Harpreet Singh, Inderjit Singh former railway player, Kuldeep Kaur, Megha, Professor Maninder Kaur, Kulbir Singh, Parminder Kaur and many other sports lovers were present.

Khalsa Academy Amritsar, Round Glass LKC W Jalandhar, Jalandhar and Lyallpur Girls teams reached the semi-finals

Jalandhar, April 4 ( ) Khalsa Academy Amritsar, Round Glass LKC W Jalandhar, Jalandhar and Lyallpur Girls teams reached the semi-finals of the 3rd Olympian Varinder Singh Memorial 5A Side Women's Hockey Tournament. The tournament, which started at the hockey ground of Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women, Jalandhar, was inaugurated by Olympian Varinder Singh's wife Mrs. Manjit Kaur. On this occasion, Principal of Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women Jalandhar Dr. Navjot congratulated the family of Olympian Varinder Singh and said that Olympian Varinder Singh had a lot of love for this college, which is why this tournament has been started at this ground. The semi-final and final matches will be played on April 5.

In the matches played, Khalsa Academy Amritsar defeated P*S Mohali 10-4, Lyallpur Girls defeated P*S Muktsar 9-7, Jalandhar defeated P*S Mohali 12-8, Round Glass LKC W Jalandhar defeated P*S Muktsar 21-6, Khalsa Academy Amritsar defeated Jalandhar 14-5 and Round Glass LKC W Jalandhar also defeated Lyallpur Girls by a margin of 14-5. In Pool A, Round Glass LKC W Jalandhar won first place and Lyallpur Girls won second place. While in Pool B, Khalsa Academy Amritsar won first place and Jalandhar won second place.

Olympian Rajinder Singh Senior, international players Ripudaman Kumar Singh, Ram Saran, Olympian Varinder Singh's son Gurpreet Singh, Harpreet Singh, daughter-in-law Kuldeep Kaur, Avtar Singh Pinka, Kuldeep Singh, Sangeeta Sareen, Gurjeet Singh, Kulbir Singh, Parminder Kaur and many other hockey lovers were present during today's matches.

Olympian Varinder Singh 5-A side women's hockey tournament
Khalsa Academy Amritsar captured the title
Jalandhar February 18 ( ) Khalsa Academy Amritsar won the title of Olympian Varinder Singh 5-A side women's hockey tournament by defeating Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women Jalandhar by a margin of 10-9 after a tight contest. In the tournament held at Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women Jalandhar hockey ground, Khalsa School Amritsar won the third place by defeating P*S Mohali by a margin of 8-6 after a tough competition. Olympian Varinder Singh's wife Manjit Kaur, Alfa Hockey Director Jatin Mahajan and Nitin Mahajan distributed prizes to the winning teams. The winning team was awarded with Alfa hockey sticks and a winner's trophy, the runner-up team was awarded with Jonex hockey sticks and a runner-up trophy and the third-placed team was awarded with a trophy and track suits. Harleen Kaur of Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women, Jalandhar was declared the best player of the tournament, she was awarded a trophy and Rs 5100 in cash, Jashnpreet Kaur, the goalkeeper of the same college, was awarded the best goalkeeper, she was also awarded with Rs 5100 and Khalsa Academy Amritsar. Meenakshi was also awarded with Rs 5100 as the best defender. The family of Olympian Varinder Singh was specially honored by the organizing committee. On this occasion, a sapling was planted at the hockey ground by Waqt A Aagaaz NGO in memory of Olympian Varinder Singh from his wife.
In the final match, both the teams showed their best game. Both the teams were tied at 5-5 at half time. Before the final match, an exhibition match was held for the women's Masters teams in which Masters Jalandhar defeated Masters Canada by a margin of 12-7. Ashfaq Ullah Khan during the closing ceremony of this tournament CEO Round Glass, HS Sangha, Iqbal Singh Sandhu, Daljit Singh IRS, Jatinder Singh President Dhanowali Sports Club and members, Dr. Navjot Singh KGM Hospital, Dr. Jasleen Kaur, Amolak Singh Baba Bakala, Satinder Singh RCF, Gurpreet Singh and Harpreet Singh ( grandson of Olympian Varinder Singh), Kuldeep Kaur daughter-in-law, Sarbpreet Singh and Kamalpreet Singh (grandsons), Varinder Singh, National player Dr Kirti Randhawa, Kulbir Singh Saini, Parminder Kaur, Navjit Kaur and Kanchan, Ravinder Singh Lalli, Kuldeep Singh and Baljot Sangha was specially present.

Khalsa Academy Amritsar, Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women Jalandhar, P*S Mohali and Khalsa School Amritsar in Semi Finals

Jalandhar February 17 ( ) The teams of Khalsa Academy Amritsar, Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women Jalandhar, P*S Mohali and Khalsa School Amritsar entered the semifinals of the Olympian Varinder Singh 5-A side women's hockey tournament. Jaspal Singh Warraich, Honorary Secretary of Khalsa College Governing Council inaugurated the tournament which started at the hockey ground of Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women, Jalandhar. While Olympian Varinder Singh's wife Manjit Kaur and Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women Jalandhar principal Dr. Navjot presided over the ceremony. On this occasion, the chief guest also introduced the 6 participating teams. The semi-final matches will be played on February 18 in the morning while the final match will be played later at 3 pm.
A total of 6 matches were played in the league round. In the first match Khalsa Academy Amritsar beat P*S Mohali 5-4, in the second match Khalsa School Amritsar beat Hockey Center Tarn Taran 10-7, in the third match P*S Mohali beat KCL School Jalandhar 8-5, in the fourth match Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women Jalandhar beat Khalsa School Amritsar 11-3, in the fifth match Khalsa Academy Amritsar beat KCL School Jalandhar 13-2 and in the sixth match Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women Jalandhar beat Hockey Center Tarn Taran 12-6. Defeated by a margin. Khalsa Academy Amritsar got 6 points from two matches, Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women got 6 points from two matches, Khalsa School Amritsar got three points from two matches and P*S Mohali got three points from two matches. During today's matches, the entire family of Olympian Virinder Singh, Surjit Hockey Society Secretary Surinder Singh Bhapa, Hockey India Technical Officer HS Sangha, Amarjit Singh, Rajwinder Singh (UK), Surinder Singh Police DAV School Jalandhar and other dignitaries specially. were present.
