Change of venue & Preliminary Entry Date of National Benchpress C'ship2025 to be held at Faridabad, Haryana from 7 to 11 January 2026

This is to inform all concerned that the venue of the above national Championships stand shifted to the new venue mentioned below:

New Venue:

Sports Complex 31 Sector Stadium, Near 28 Sector Metro Station, Faridabad, Haryana

Also please note that the last date for submission of preliminary entry stands extended upto 15/12/2025.

Please note the change of venue and last date for submission of preliminary entry.

The Indian teams for various international championships of 2026 will be selected from this national meet.

Highlights of Annual General Body Meeting 2024-25

Executive Committee Meeting & Annual General Body Meeting of Powerlifting India smoothly conducted. The elections conducted as per norms, in the presence of Returning Officer and Observer from Alleppey District Sports Council.

2) P J Joseph (Arjuna), Secretary General
3) Krishna Sahu, Treasurer were re-elected with other office bearers.

The meeting displayed total unity.

Also unanimously decided to oust Anuj Tiwari for floating unrecognized parallel federation and for not replying to PI letter seeking explanation. An ad hoc committee set up to run, supervise and manage UPSPA.

Disaffiliated Goa Super Bodies Powerlifting Association.
