Anurag Singh won J&K UT Senior Men Chess championship organised by AJKCA
2nd, 3rd and 4th positions were claimed by Mr Sumit Grower, Master Hamzah Malik and Mr Nadeem Hussain
Prizes worth Rs. 1.5 lacs were distributed among the Top 20 seeded players

Government Medical college Rajouri organized first ever Peer Panjal chess championship in collaboration with All J&K chess association in line with the J&K Government's initiative for Drug free J&K with Tagline
Say No to Drugs and Yes to sports .
Record 165 players mostly from various parts of Rajouri district participated in it including considerable number of girl participants.
Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Commissioner youth services and sports E- inaugurated the event Cash awards worth RS. 16k + 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 distributed among the winners
Mr.Raksh*t Lakhanpal won the Peer Panjaal chess championship Dr.Akashdeep singh bhatia Won the second place and Mr.Jasir zahoor lone Won the 3rd place.Sanchi Mahajan Won the best woman title while Viraj Raina won the best U-15 title .

Keeping in view the Request from various players for date change due to exams schedule and Delhi event clash, The dates Of LA-VEERAZ chess carnival are changed . New dates are 5th to 7th June 2026.
