SKCC Send Strong Message On and Off the Field – 9-Wicket Win While Promoting ‘Say Yes to Future, No to Drugs’

JAMMU : In a limited-overs T20 match played at Maulana Azad Stadium, PMLI Legends Cricket Club won the toss and elected to bat first, posting 160/8 in their allotted 20 overs.

Raman Saini top-scored with 62 off 51 balls, while Deepak Malhotra contributed 44 off 30 deliveries. For Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Club (SKCC), Rahul Sagotra delivered a match-winning spell, claiming four crucial wickets, ably supported by Barjinder Singh who picked up three wickets.

In response, SKCC, led by Surpreet Singh, produced a commanding performance to chase down the target comfortably in just 17.5 overs, losing only one wicket and sealing a comprehensive nine-wicket victory. Opener Aksh*t Sharma led from the front with a fluent 69 off 46 balls, while Aneesh Khajuria anchored the innings with a composed 50 off 49 deliveries. Anil Langeh (Shalu) added 15 off 12 balls to complete the emphatic win. Vikram picked up the lone wicket for PMLI Legends.
Rahul Sagotra was adjudged Man of the Match for his outstanding four-wicket haul.

Aman S. Cheema, Senior Leader National Conference Youth and President SKCC, was present on the occasion and encouraged both teams, appreciating their competitive spirit and the strong anti-drug message promoted through the match.

Recently, during a visit to his shop, we came to know that our beloved teammate Dheeraj kumar (Tarjan) passed away in 2022.
He was one of the founding members who stood with us when this club was formed in 2010.
His presence, passion, and dedication will always remain a part of our club’s journey.
Though he is no longer among us, his memories will live forever in our hearts and on our ground.
