Important Update for the Karate Community – India

The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports has directed the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) to constitute an Ad-hoc Committee to oversee the administration of Karate in India, ensuring smooth functioning of the sport and uninterrupted athlete participation in upcoming international events.

This step has been taken to safeguard the interests of athletes and to streamline governance until a final decision regarding the National Sports Federation is established.

The Karate Association of India (KAI) welcomes all initiatives taken in the best interest of Karate players, coaches, and officials across the country.

We request all athletes, state units, and stakeholders to stay focused on training and performance. Further official updates and guidelines will be shared as soon as they are issued by the competent authorities.

Let us stay united and committed to the growth of Karate in India.

It is with great pleasure that we announce that Rupsha Chatterjee, a student from DAV HCL, Rupnarayanpur, and member of All Bengal Sports Karate-Do Association, Paschim Burdwan District, has secured a Silver Medal at the SGFI National Karate Championship. In the Under-19 category, Below 56 kg, Rupsha has brought immense pride to her school and region with her outstanding achievement. Her dedication and perseverance have yielded remarkable results, bringing glory to her district and state. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to her and her coach, Sensei Vishnu Bhagwan Sharma, for this notable success.💐💐
