If the idea of a "huge workout" feels overwhelming on Day 1, try this. This 5-minute mini-flow wakes up the core, articulates the spine, and creates deep length in the side body.
The Routine:
1️⃣ The Hundred (Warm-up):
Focus: Circulation & Breath.
Reps: 100
Cue: Pump the arms vigorously and keep your gaze on your navel.
2️⃣ Shoulder Bridge (Mobilize):
Focus: Glutes & Spinal Articulation.
Reps: 8-10 slow reps x 2 sets
Cue: Peel your spine off the mat one bone at a time. Do not just lift—articulate.
3️⃣ Mermaid with Scoop (Stretch & Rotate):
Focus: Side Body Length & Thoracic Mobility.
Reps: 8-10 on each side x 2 sets
Cue: Reach up and over to open your ribs. Then, rotate your chest toward the floor and "scoop" the arm under. Wring out the waistline!

Pilates with heavy weights, is an effective way to enhance a traditional Pilates workout. It combines the core principles of Pilates—like controlled movements, core stability, and mind-body connection—with the added resistance of heavier weights. This approach offers a unique set of benefits that go beyond what either discipline can provide on its own.
