With 8 teams for boys and 4 for girls,the sportsman spirit and the zeal lingered on each of the bright sunny faces. As we sang the national anthem along with the councillor of ward 70, Mr. Ashim Kumar Bose,the feeling of oneness around was palpable as our team name suggests. We’re glad to inform you that we were successful in bringing out the best among these children and seeing a smile on the lovely faces.

Indo Pet is engaged in providing advanced packaging solutions through manufacture of specialty plastic packaging products. Jiwandass Foundation is a foundation created a few years ago to impact society in a positive way and to add meaning to life of others. The foundation was created keeping in mind Late Jiwandass Kakrania who inspired many people in his time.

It is an initiative under Jiwandass and Grandsons, which is currently witnessing the third generation of succession.

Calcutta Muslim Orphanage is a shelter for orphans established in 1892 by Late Abul Hasan Khan a judge at small cause court Calcutta the capital of British India.

It aims to provide a stabilised life to the children who have been neglected by society. It works with many partnering orphanages to provide a clean environment to children and also looks after their education, food and has personality development centres.

In 1992, a domestic help asked Ms.Neena Singh for a personal loan to send her son to after-school tuition. Disha
was conceived at that moment as the veteran educator realised that the children of socioeconomically
challenged sections of society need remedial education even more than those who can afford tuition
and coaching classes.

Disha began with six children who were cajoled, coerced and bribed into attending evening sessions
under staircases and in adhoc spaces generously shared by its first well-wishers.

Today, Disha is a non-governmental organization which provides assistance to marginalized
children, youth and women from the Manoharpukur slum area in Kolkata, in spheres of education, health and capacity building.

A grass-root level VO implementing educational, healthcare, elderly care, socio-economic uplift and advocacy programmes in the Port Slums of Kolkata.

SSGS promotes academic and vocational education amongst the children of Calcutta and works towards eradication of illiteracy particularly amongst the weaker sections. It creates an environment for children and their parents to recognize moral values. Apart from promoting education it also organizes programmes aimed at prevention of drug-abuse, alcoholism, HIV/AID'S and provide them with treatment, care, rehabilitation and support. It also provides counselling and support to women and children.

New Light is a registered public charitable trust operating from the terrace of a temple deep inside the red-light district of Kalighat, Kolkata that offers comprehensive community development services.

Over the years, New Light has set up multiple facilities to cater to the needs of children and young adults at risk. New Light Shelter for children from the Dalit community caters to the children of municipal crematorium and sanitation workers who have traditionally been treated as untouchables. Though these are not children of s*x workers, these children live in equally precarious circumstances, exposed to violence and subjected to discrimination and social stigma. In New Light, the children receive support to continue formal education, remedial education, nutrition and healthcare.

The inception of CSP work in Kolkata slums began in 1969.
The Project works in the slums of Manoharpukur Road, Motilal Nehru Road, Panditiya, Garcha in South Calcutta and in poverty ridden backward area of East Calcutta called Paschim Chowbaga. It also works with street children on Madan Street near Chandni Market, Bowbazar in Central Calcutta, Chetla (Kalighat) and Harish Mukherji Road in Bhowanipur.
The Project works to unleash the true potential of underprivileged slum women and children through human development services focused on education, shelter and nutrition.

The Hope Foundation works with some of the most disadvantaged children in the world today.
Set up in 1999 to raise funds for one girl’s home, The Hope Foundation is now a registered Irish charity with offices in Ireland, India, the UK, Germany and the USA. In the past decade, The Hope Foundation’s extensive work has been considered critical in ensuring the rights of the underprivileged sections of society, specially the street and slum children of Kolkata (formerly Calcutta), India.

Fortunate are those who remain content with small things. Unfortunate are those who keep longing for more. Clouds of Money, Greed and Corruption have polluted society and there remains an urgent need for the sun to rise above and shine brightly through these dark floating bodies. And in this hour of need,we should rather smile and bloom than frown at each other. So lets share the warmth this winter and bloom where we’re planted.
‘One’ brings to you a first of its kind football tournament among NGO’s from across the state. Sports educates the child and deviates the child from the neglected and corrupt world.
We at ‘One’ have tried to bring children from diverse backgrounds and upbringing together on one common platform in an attempt to lighten up their lives.
