NBHRLR is an organisation that works towards the realization of human rights. NBHRLR is a beginning to establish an organization that will live beyond the years of its founders and resolve to fight for various causes. The NBHRLR team believes that when it comes to human rights violations, all reasons for its occurrence are in most cases preventable and therefore, the team seeks to become the voice
of the oppressed and underprivileged and fight for their rights. Our target is to stand as an effective support mechanism in creating awareness of individual rights beside stepping forward and helping people in need of care and protection. Our mission is to ensure equity, empowerment and justice, to mitigate the suffering of the downtrodden and underprivileged sections of the society. We reach out to the marginalized by adopting a holistic approach which, addresses the physical, psychological, medical and economic well being of the those affected. Our goal is to assist these people in developing practical capacities to make them self-sufficient to create a sustainable change which will enable society to grow freely. NBHRLR is driven by the emotional force and commitment of its membership. Our global network is striving to focus much of its effort on building organizational capacity and skills at the grassroots level. A series of upcoming national, regional and local projects target specific issues for in-depth exploration. OBJECTIVES AT A GLANCE
To build a human rights movement in India and around the Globe that:
• Ensures accountability to universal human rights standards.
• Builds a human rights culture that puts those directly affected by human rights violations at the center and
• Connects the Global human rights movement with broader Indian social justice movements and human rights movements around the world. DETAILED OBJECTIVES OF NBHRLR
a) To work for the realization of human rights. b) To build a human rights movement in India and around the Globe
that:
i) Ensures accountability to universal human rights standards. ii) Builds a human rights culture that puts those directly affected by human rights violations at the center and
iii) Connects the Global human rights movement with broader Indian social justice movements and human rights movements around the world. c) To ensure civil society engagement with the various awareness programs, hosting its inaugural Human Rights Training, producing a human rights documentation and Coordination support for the Human Rights Campaign
d) To ensure equity, empowerment and justice, to mitigate the
suffering of the downtrodden and underprivileged sections of the
society
e) To provide pro-bono legal aid to the underprivileged sections of
the society
f) To provide access to justice to the downtrodden and underprivileged
sections of the society. g) Advocacy for the protection of children’s rights as well as rights of
juvenile delinquents, to help meet their basic needs and to expand,
their opportunities to reach their full potential. h) To promote the equal rights of women and girls and to support their full participation in the political, social and economic development of their communities. i) To engage boys and men in transforming gender relations and
work towards more gender-equal societies. j) To take a more transformative approach to girls’ education by
tackling discrimination, violence and the exclusion of girls from
education
k) To create, establish, maintain and support units and the like for
the overall development of women and children. l) Advocacy for the protection of Prisoner’s Rights
m) To advance and propagate education including eradication
of adult illiteracy
n) To support and assist in cash or kind to poor and destitute children by providing books, stationeries, tuition fees, examination fees, food, medicine and any other support and/or assistance in any shape or forms. o) To empower women with self help capacity by fostering and encouraging education and training in any manner and in any field whatsoever in community levels and establish, found, maintain or support or help by monetary gifts or otherwise Institutions or industrial homes imparting such education; and to open up avenues of employment for economically and socially backward men and women including the marginalized sections of the society. p) To give monetary and/or other help for the relief and rehabilitation of people affected by natural and other calamities like floods, cyclones, epidemic, famine, storms, accidents, victims of war, terrorism and the like. q) To support, establish, maintain and run shelter homes for socially left out groups, such as: marginalized indigenous people, physically challenged, mentally ill, victims of sexual violence and trafficking and any other group of people requiring special assistance and support. r) To foster and encourage schemes of upliftment for beggars, foot path dwellers and the rural poor. s) To provide general health care facilities to the underprivileged sections of the society and establish, maintain and run charitable/subsidized dispensaries for achieving this object
t) To engage medical practitioners, to give medical advice and
guidance to the poorer class
u) To advance, promote and propagate mainstream and interdisciplinary research in human rights, socio-legal and medico-legal research and to promote publication of journals, magazines, souvenirs pamphlets and the like in India and abroad for advancement of education human rights and culture. v) To promote empathy, tolerance, good feeling and unity among the followers of different faith and among people belonging to various sections of the society so as to propagate peace and prosperity. w) To advance any other object of human welfare or utility. x) To promote, assist and maintain all such activities as are in conformity with the objects of the trust and as are conducive to the well being and general welfare of the Nation
y) To undertake profit/non-profit activities for achieving the objectives of this Trust;
z) To do all things and take all necessary steps in furtherance of the objects of the trust and incidental thereto as the trustees may think fit

Each and every child deserves a childhood and no one in this world has the power to take that away from them. Child labour has taken away the innocence and beauty of childhood from millions and therefore, we must come together to protect children. We must show a child all the love and care and must save every child from the deadly trap of child labour because child labour is a heinous crime and by no means it is fair.
We all have the power to make whatever contributions we can to have these children go to school and learn things for a happier tomorrow. As human beings it is the duty of each one of us to raise our voices against it to make this world a better place for children to live.
A country can only develop if it first develops a bright future for its children because the ultimate test of a moral society is the kind of world that it leaves to its children.
On the occasion of World Day Against Child Labour, let us join hands and against this crime which kills the joy of living for children and makes this world a dark place.

West Bengal is under lockdown from tomorrow again. All government and private offices will be closed from tomorrow 6am to 30th of May. But that doesn't mean a child cannot get help when he or she is in difficulty.
The West Bengal Commission for Protection of Child Rights will be functional through their Whatsapp Helpline Number. Complaints of any kind can be registered through whatsapp or writing an email.
We at NBHRLR are always available for children in difficulty or any person in distress. Inform us when you need help.

This year’s Human Rights Day theme relates to the COVID-19 pandemic and focuses on the need to build back better by ensuring Human Rights are central to recovery efforts. We will reach our common global goals only if we are able to create equal opportunities for all, address the failures exposed and exploited by COVID-19, and apply human rights standards to tackle entrenched, systematic, and intergenerational inequalities, exclusion and discrimination.
10 December is an opportunity to reaffirm the importance of human rights in re-building the world we want, the need for global solidarity as well as our interconnectedness and shared humanity.
UN Human Rights’ generic call to action “Stand Up for Human rights”, aims to engage the general public, our partners and the UN family to bolster transformative action and showcase practical and inspirational examples that can contribute to recovering better and fostering more resilient and just societies.
Human Rights must be at the centre of the post COVID-19 world
The COVID-19 crisis has been fuelled by deepening poverty, rising inequalities, structural and entrenched discrimination and other gaps in human rights protection. Only measures to close these gaps and advance human rights can ensure we fully recover and build back a world that is better, more resilient, just, and sustainable.
