Have you been in situations where everything felt smooth, yet not satisfying?
Have you ever had a conversation that went really wellโ€ฆ but nothing actually changed?

Some conversations feel stuck and some feel smooth. But the question is of deepening and transformation. Not all movement is transformation.
And such things regularly show up in coaching, as well as outside of it.

International Coaching Week is around the corner, where coaches around the world celebrate coaching. Itโ€™s from 11th-15th May.

And on this occasion, I am conducting a webinar on this topic.
It's a reflective session on hidden fragmentation in coaching, leadership, and human interactions.
It's appropriate for coaches, leaders and anyone who is willing to reflect. No prior experience necessary.

If youโ€™re reading this, can you remember a situationโ€”a conversation, decision, or interaction that felt โ€œgoodโ€ on the surface, but didnโ€™t quite feel satisfying or lead to the change you expected?
Let me know in the comments or show up with it on 14th.

The webinar is for 60 minutes and Free.

Coaching is experiential. Hereโ€™s a chance to experience coaching.

Let's talk coaching. Coaching isn't easy.

Clients and peers who have experienced my coaching have often complimented that I tend to make difficult moments easy, especially with my presence.

And I do take that as a compliment. I donโ€™t believe coaching should feel intimidating. It doesnโ€™t need a poker face, a clinical distance, or a sense of being evaluated.
At its best, coaching can feel like a partnership, a co-creative process โ€” creative, thought-provoking and even fun at times.

However, that does not mean that coaching is easy. Why?
Coaching is not:
โ—‡ a set of tips
โ—‡ a few โ€œdo this, do thatโ€ suggestions
โ—‡ a quick fix that transforms your life in a week
And when people come in expecting that, they usually donโ€™t benefit much.

Real coaching asks something else of you. It asks you to:
โ˜† think in ways you havenโ€™t before
โ˜† stay with questions instead of rushing to answers
โ˜† notice parts of yourself you usually override
โ˜† take responsibility for your own movement

The coach doesnโ€™t do the work for you. They make the work possible.
And when that space is held well, the process may feel sometimes serious, sometimes light, sometimes slower, sometimes real fast โ€”but the depth of work doesnโ€™t reduce.

If you havenโ€™t experienced coaching like this or want another experience โ€”not as advice, but as a space that expands how you thinkโ€”Iโ€™m opening up a few no-commitment conversations. A chance to experience what coaching can actually feel like. The conversations still remains confidential.

What new does the year want from you? 01/01/2026

We often judge a year by what we achieve.
But what if the quieter measure is what happens to our capacity along the way?

But what if the quieter measure is what happens to our capacity along the way?

As the year begins, this piece explores a different way of thinking about renewal โ€” not as reinvention or grit, but as the ability to keep going in partnership with life.
No resolutions. No performance.
Just an honest reorientation for the year ahead.

Read my first article on medium this new year.

What new does the year want from you? Congratulations. Weโ€™ve finally retired one more calendar from our homes and offices and welcomed a new one.

This season often feels like both โ€” light and noise, beauty and excess.
Some find joy in the celebration; others, peace in the stillness.
And perhaps, both are valid.

Diwali and Kali Puja remind me that light without silence burns, and silence without light fades.
One asks us to awaken; the other, to rest.
Both invite us to return โ€” to coherence, to meaning, to a rhythm thatโ€™s our own.

So whether your night glows with diyas or quiet reflection,
may your light stay gentle,
your breath deep,
and your world in rhythm again.

Interestingly, I hadn't met my client before and didn't know who I was going to coach.

We donโ€™t prep or plan a coaching session. And coaching isnโ€™t meant to be perfect; itโ€™s meant to be experienced. We just stay present with clients and see what really wants to emerge from within them at the moment. Itโ€™s not performance โ€” itโ€™s connection and deep reflection.

Normally, coaching happens in a confidential space. But this time, the client โ€” also a coach โ€” had volunteered for this live demo. That generosity let others witness what canโ€™t usually be seen: how awareness, curiosity, and silence begin to move something inside.

Here are some things we might reflect on:
โ—‡ What happens in you when you enter an unknown space with another person?
โ—‡ How do you know when youโ€™re truly listening โ€” not to respond, but to meet?
โ—‡ What might emerge if we allowed conversations to be less perfect, and more alive?

Would you like to experience a coaching session in the future? Let me know.

Every festival tells us: Good triumphs over Evil.
But what if victory isnโ€™t about slaying a demon?
What if true victory doesn't look like a momentary spectacle?

โ˜† Victory is coherence returning after distortion.
โ˜† Victory is clarity breaking through illusion.
โ˜† Victory is aliveness rekindled after rupture.
โ˜† Victory is not outsideโ€”itโ€™s when you stop abandoning yourself.

Durga, Kali, Diwali arenโ€™t just rituals.
They are spirals of Rhythm, Rupture, and Return.
True victory isnโ€™t spectacleโ€”itโ€™s coherence.

Does keeping challenges under the rug truly help us?

Challenges under the rug

At one of our events last week, a role-taker just didn't show up and that too without any information. And we realised this after we had started. So, what happens next? It needs no guesses ... for the first 30 seconds, we had a huge adrenaline rush and in the next 30 seconds, we had managed the situation by making the required adjustments! We were ready to move on as if nothing had happened; as if we made no adjustments; as if we don't have to live with the sudden adjustments for the next few hours. It felt good. A little sense of pride and joy ran through me. Yay!

Then, as I started speaking, I first thought of simply going on, but then I thought better.

I asked myself...
What is it that would make me, the facilitators (who also made adjustments) and the larger group truly feel connected?
How can we build more trust in this situation?
What would truly be inspiring for all of us?
What would be an honourable acknowledgement to the adrenaline in our bodies that we get so very often flooded with? (Adrenaline takes 40mins or so to dissipate!)

The answer was clear to me. I surely didn't need to make a drama or cry out loud throwing my arms and legs in the air about the problems in our life or the person not showing up. But I could calmly and vulnerably acknowledge to the group what just happened. I could also share with them why I thought of sharing this with them. And I did just that. (It took a minute or less, for context)

Folks, how do we prove we are strong and powerful?
I have heard that strength is about hiding all our challenges under the rug and going on as if nothing happened. Many elders and leaders say that. Supposedly such strength is relaxing, inspirational and empowering for them.

However, isn't there an assumption here that other people aren't capable of even gauging that something is under the rug when there is? And if they can gauge, will it really be relaxing or empowering for them to not know what it is?

I strongly believe vulnerability and openness is an act of honouring oneself and others. It is the way to build spaces of trust, wellness and empowerment.

I would love to know what you think.

Getting in your comfort zone!

Creating your comfort zone!

We all are constantly trying to figure out how to get ourselves and others out of our comfort zones.
But why?
I wonder don't we all like or deserve comfort? What's the need to push through that all the time?
There's a bigger question though. And may be that's where the answer lies.

Is your so-called comfort zone really comfortable?
Not only do we have life's ever-changing situations and challenges that requires a new version of us, but we also have a lot of existential crisis and trauma to deal with.

People who seemingly have everything are also suffering, not just from the challenges, but also from the past triggers and memories of defeats and things undone. Then there's loneliness and disconnection; embarassments and resentments; inability to express, acknowledge and function as who we truly are. That's not what a comfort zone looks like, does it?

So, how do we get out of that comfort zone? The first step is to get IN IT, wherever we are; by removing the residual discomfort we are carrying. A simultaneous step is to ask ourselves what comfort really means and feels like?

As a coach, I would love to put you IN YOUR COMFORT ZONE and YOUR SAFETY, so that you can choose to get out and expand your zone of safety and comfort.

What is it that life would feel like for you then?
I leave that for you to respond or reflect on.
I am all ears ๐Ÿ‘‚
