He's from Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, He made history by securing his GM title in 2013 and reaching a peak FIDE rating of 2512. From winning the U-16 Commonwealth Championship in 2003 to becoming Maharashtra’s youngest IM at the time in 2006, his journey is a masterclass in dedication. He even led India to its first-ever Youth Chess Olympiad medal, playing on Board 1! 🥉✨

GM Vidit Gujrathi’s journey is filled with breakthrough moments — from becoming a 2500-rated player at 15 to winning the Tata Steel Challengers and Biel Chess Festival.
