National record in women's 35km race walk

India’s 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games silver medallist, Priyanka Goswami, began her 2025 season with a national record in the women’s 35km at the World Athletics Race Walking Tour Gold Meeting in Dudince, Slovakia on Saturday. Priyanka clocked 2:56.34 to finish 11 in the 35km and improved the previous record of 2:57.54 set by Manju in Ranchi in 2023. Priyanka also holds the 20km national race walk record of 1:29.48.

Happy to win a silver medal for my country in Asian athletics championship after 1989 in women’s Race walk , (last medal Kavita Garari won the silver medal in 10km walk in 1989 with a timing of 50:30.90).I will continue to work hard and do better in the upcoming competitions, thank you very much to all of you.
