Today marks 25 years since Sensei Vipul Naik began his karate classes — a journey that has been filled with dedication, challenges, and countless blessings.
So many people have played an important role in making this journey successful, and Vipul Sensei takes a moment to express his deepest gratitude.
First and foremost, Sensei Vipul conveys his heartfelt thanks to the person without whom this journey wouldn’t have been possible — Sensei Pervez Mistry. Every lesson he has learned in karate, and everything he teaches today, is a reflection of Sensei Mistry's unwavering guidance and the hard work he invested in him. Sensei Mistry's influence continues to shape every aspect of Sensei Vipul's martial arts path.
Sensei Vipul's family has been his constant support system throughout. His wife, children, and sisters — each of them has stood by him through every phase.
Another pillar of this journey has been the space where the class took root — St. Joseph High School. For 25 years, the support Sensei Vipul has received from the school is beyond words. Though the faces of priests and staff have changed over the years, their warmth, kindness, and readiness to help have remained unchanged. Their continued support has been a blessing.
Although Sensei Vipul has been teaching for 25 years, his karate journey began long before that. He remembers the camaraderie, support, and encouragement he received from his seniors and fellow karatekas during those early years. Without their companionship, his path would have been far more difficult. A special thank you to Sensei Zeenat Mistry, who always listens with a smile and offers help with the same spirit.
And lastly — but most importantly — Sensei Vipul thanks his students. Running a class for 25 years is no small feat, but he never felt alone. His students have stood beside him like family. In every challenge, they have offered their help, support, and loyalty. There are far too many to name in one message, but each student holds a special place in his heart.
IOGKF India wishes Sensei Vipul Naik many more years of teaching and to the next 25 years ahead!
Domo Arigato Gozaimasu !!
