Motivated by this we are planing to organize Powerlifting Open Competition for Girls in the month of April, so stay tuned for updates.

First ever Bodybuilding competition at IIT Bombay...
The institute’s first ever body building competition, held on the 17th of February, witnessed a tremendous turnout with fitness buffs showing up in large numbers to showcase their brawn and masculinity. The chiseled bodies, taut frames and glistening muscles on display showed the countless hours of toil and sweat that had been put into them. And in the end, it was the strapping Shubham Nayak. who was awarded the title of Mr. IIT Bombay for his brilliant sculpted physique, Asim ansari was the runner up and Rahul Das, Tanay Banerjee, Hathake Kiran. stood third, fourth and fifth respectively. Here are a few glimpses of the Institute’s finest bodybuilders
The Weightlifting GC was kicked off with much fanfare with Sports Officer Dr. K Sengupta inaugurating the event. He was subsequently presented with a memento by the Institute Secretary, Weightlifting. To add to the atmosphere, alumni were invited as referees- Jayesh Bundel and Rakesh Kumar (inter-IIT silver medallist) graced the occasion. Besides their duties as officials, their presence boosted the morale of all participants. At the end of the first day, Hostel 7 leads the table with 13 points, followed by Hostel 4 (8 points) and
Hostel 5 (6 points) close at their heels
