To grow in life and be successful, do what others hate and do it with ease. Hardwork has no replacement neither does life. Natural enthusiasm is key.

Thoughts for domestic performers.

Funny world.#Ranjichampions.

Jaydev Unadkat captain of Saurashtra had taken 67 wickets in Ranji, plus nine wickets in vijay Hazare to have one of the most successful year in the history of Indian cricket.

No one talks about this guy who was not picked in the test team squad for Australia tour, after having one of the best season 2019/20 as a captain and strike bowler winning the Ranji Title for the first time to create history for Saurashtra Ranji team.

Ipl is not the only way to measure a cricketers worth for playing in the national squad.
Hopefully we have more clear measures to pick players worth the effort during the entire season and not just pick teams as per their performances during the ipl games.

Hoping for more encouragement to domestic players performances and motivating them to keep going strongly towards their dream to wear the Indian Colors.

Best wishes to all the domestic performers and players do not get disheartened by selections and no praises from expected people’s.

As a Coach it makes me think what should be the motivation to coach players IPL or Team India.
A question will have to ask everytime I walk into the ground to coach and mentor budding cricketers.

Best wishes to team India for the Australia series 2020/21.

#IPL2020.

Each teams have played 3 matches each and the point table looks quite interesting with CSK at the bottom.

Too early to predict who would win or dominate this years IPL.
Reasons to ponder is the new atmosphere and pitches(UAE) new surrounding(No spectators)
limited outside interactions due to Bio Bubble protocols.
This year would be a lot more challenges due to climatic conditions and new pitches to adjust.

Young Indian guns have come out brilliantly in the first few games.
Statistically it’s still the batters game out of 12 games played MOM awards are 9 batsmen and 3 Bowlers.

Each team would be playing 14 games so it would be interesting to see how the team Management plans it’s reserved players abs keep the core group fresh till the end of the league.
Injuries again has been the highlight for this year with new ground surface and world pandemic limiting their preparations.

Some names would like to mention as they started very well.
Mostly looking from the Indian prospective
Kkr - Mavi, Gill and Nagarkoti.
RR- Sanju,
RCB- Padikkal, sundar
MI - Ishan
KX- Mayank
DC- Prithvi

Special mention of Saini to bowl in the super over with loads of confidence from his captain.

Some senior players showing why they are still the Best in Business
Faf, Shami, ABD, Chahal, Rashid Stionis, KL, Rohit,Trent, Pollard, Russell.

Sanju Samson the only guy to receive 2 MOM award.

Some interesting outcomes and perspectives could develop in future games.

Overall an interesting IPL 2020 as the whole world has seen nothing like this year before.(COVID 19 Pandemic)

Thank you

[08/24/20]   James Anderson playing his 156 Test match is the only Fast bowler to have played so many test matches and wickets 598 currently second inning on.

First England player to have played this number of matches.

Will make History by being the first fast bolwer to cross 600 Test wickets.

Big congratulations to the commitment and Hardwork endured for almost 18 years.
Debut in 2002 as the young fast prospect for England played in and out till 2007.

Now the legend of the game and will always be remembered for swing and control.

Let’s celebrate the achievement and wish him luck for coming years.

[01/03/20]   Ranji 2019/2020.

The New year started like a 20 Twenty games with mostly teams struggling to live up to their expectation as long format has been dominated by cold weather and seam bowlers.

Starting with MUMBAI again they tumbled again in their batting against mighty Karnatak bowlers.
MUMBAI are 194 all out on day one and karnatak are 79 for 3 at Bandra BKC.

Rajasthan 151 all out against Andhra as they bat 82 for 2 wickets at Jaipur.

Himachal 175 all out and Madhya Pradesh 87 for 4 at Dharmsala.

Baroda all out for 201 and Railways are 24 for 2 at Motibaug, Vadodara.

Maharashtra was the worst 44 all out and Services are 141 for 4 at Palam,New Delhi.

Manipur 106 all out and Goa are 225 for 2 at porvorim,Goa.

Hope the cold weather and wicket holds up for next few week.

It’s rarely you see batters struggle in india due to good batting wickets and dry conditions.

The cricket in four day’s were always dominated by batters and spinners.

Good to see the change in the playing conditions, will be interesting to see the top 4 Ranji teams this season.
Finally who wins the most prestigious title of the season.

Will keep posting some facts and records in coming weeks.

[09/10/18]   If you are in Doubt, don’t defend.

[08/28/18]   Good or Bad day is just an attitude, how prepared you are to face the world.

#Why such a big Ho-Ho,about the Yo-Yo test.#

it’s been the tradition in different culture in all the era’s to question anything, which does not have anything to do with people related to the specific experiment, test or Programme.

They are just trying to find a problem in the subject.
The new trend in the Indian cricketing circle is the Yo-Yo test.

One of my pal send across an article from a daily newspaper.
The journalist asking questions to the person who developed this test where cricket was never played or it’s an alien sports to such countries.

Trying to ask questions just to find the answers which could give him mileage in the news world.

Anyone who has done the Yo-Yo test will laugh, when they see the required level referred to an indian cricketer to pass a basic speed stamina test or call it a recovery standard of the specific athlete.

Well 16.1 is the basic fitness test for an indian cricketer, which is way below any sports fitness standards.
Knowing if someone has ever done this test.

Now coming to the so called enthusiastic well wishers of specific players.
This sports is related to skill with speed and stamina in today’s competitive and innovative cricket.

When they keep writing about how this game has turned 360 degree as compared to the test cricket.
They still want to justify the issue with mere nonsense Justification whether this test is reliable or not.

So one hand they keep putting up articles going on GA GA about the
Indian skippers new level of fitness and regime. How it has transformed him into the worlds Top athletes.

On the other hand they want to question the basic fitness test.which keeps the major team players on the similar fitness level to get the desired results as the number one team in test and other 2 formats.

They never questioned why a fitness test of run a 3 is done with out pads and other cricketing stuff as a batsmen will never run with out pads and his thigh pad or abdomen guard and why only 3 runs why not 2 or 4.(just a bat)

They never questioned the ICC how is the bouncer eligible as one short delivery, when the ball is a wide or a no ball.

It’s funny how things can be twisted and turned into a debate without even having a basic idea about what the debate is all about.

Cricket is a sports where running is Such an important part of the game.
Batting, Bowling, Fielding and even the extras are running in and out of the dugout as fast as possible to reduce the time travel between the water and other things supplied to the on field player or batters.

Hope we put a end to this Yo-Yo saga and move ahead with something more important and beneficial to the readers and fans.

All those who read this article would not have to agree with what i have written or mentioned. Just take some time and think before you comment.

Thanks and appreciate for the feedbacks in advance.

[04/20/18]   #RAPE.

It’s time we take the issue seriously as it’s not the girls who are in danger it’s our boys or men’s basically.

Beautifully described in the movie PINK, it’s the pseudo mentality of our culture where a women is looked upon as mere commodity.

They are treated like business deals and more often as slaves.

The culture of education is more teaching about commodities and luxuries, then morals and ethical values of living human beings.

I suggest we need lessons in each standard from 1 st to degree college, which describes about human values and respect for each other.(Gender)(Caste)

We are living in the 21st century but we have Stone Age mentality.

A rape is neither done by a Hindu, Muslim, Sikh or any other community, it’s done by people who are mentally sick and not suitable to live in the society.

It’s not shame but torture to keep
Repeating about a girls ordeal.
what she has gone through not just during the heinous act but for rest of her life.

The family is put through shame day in day out by the media and social active people.
Thinking they are fighting for a cause just by changing their DP or passing the message to various groups they are linked.

Just by having rallies and Bandhs if we could stop this criminal carnage happening for years, by now our country and society would be cleaned up.

We need something more thoughtful and practical to counter this problem.

It’s not frustration for writing this piece, it’s agony and pain.

What culture or society are we developing for our future generation.

Let this post be an awareness for people who can think, not discussed for few days and again back to same life.

I pledge to stand against everyone and anyone who disrespects a girl or women.

Thank you all.

#PRESSURE.

We all have been suggested all our lives how to deal with pressure.

Maybe to put across more clearly we were always spoken about tough mentality, maturity or positive mentality.

What’s more important when we come to deal with pressure.

Few things which I have come across in 10 years of coaching at higher level or maybe internationa players.

1] Clarity

2] Preparation

3] Courage.

Clarity mostly helps you to deal with the situation, being more aware about the scenario.

Preparation allows you to react better to situations, make you more adaptable to the scenario with various opportunities to deal with the task.

Courage helps you to carry on with the belief in your clarity and preparation during the crunch situations.

Having all the process covered won’t help you to always be on the winning positions.
It helps you to deal with difficult situations more consistently.

A lot of emphasis is given to winning, maybe we may have a system which could measure the growth(as person)and progress (game sense)of the athlete during the transition period while working on his process.

Hopefully the coaches have more patience to understand the athlete before giving him a specific process.

Which may result into a champion or world champion player.

Pressure is result of poor preparation with lack of clarity and courage.

Happy Holi to all my friends.

Being Happy is not a choice,it’s the outcome of your process.

Good day friends.

#Success.

It’s easy in today’s world to be recognized when you are famous.
Equally difficult to be recognized when you are a failure.

Success measures your social value,
Failure measures your relationship.

Success gets unwanted people attach to you.
Failure helps to detach unwanted friends.

Don’t value your friends and family by their success.
Don’t criticize your friends and family due to their failures.

Don’t worry about what others think about you.
What matters is how you look at your life.

Good day.

[01/14/18]   Wishing everyone Happy Makar Sankrant, Happy Lohri, Happy Pongal.
Friends have a great day.
#Ithinksportz.

#Leadership.

A leader will take the responsibility for his action, plus his teams.

A leader needs to handle pressure with more maturity and calmness.

Leadership is not about being strong and powerful.
It’s about being caring and loving.

Most of their decision would not be in personal interest.

They won’t be liked by everyone, but they will be respected by all.

Being a leader is not an easy job, you can’t be nice and fair.

A good leader will always guide others towards their destination.
Won’t be there at destination but be more help during the journey.

They won’t bother whether people remembers them for what they have done.

A great leader would always stand in the front during struggle and last during celebration.(Success)

Leaders will need help from others, they should inspire everyone to become leaders or independent.

Many more qualities could be discussed.
Please feel free to share or add your views to the topic.

Thank you
