Hi guys,
In our series, we'll talk about the benefits of yoga in helping ease cramps and other period related symptoms.
Diarrhea and constipation are par for the course when it comes to periods, thanks to the release of prostaglandins that cause uterus to contract. Not super fun but, thankfully, can help. Not only does it soothe your digestive system but it can also provide relief from painful menstrual cramps. Oh, and it stimulates your ovaries making it a reproductive health power pose. If you're feeling fatigued, spend some time in Butterfly pose- it'll revive your energy too.
Note- Do remember that it is not necessary to practice asanas during your period. It is important to aware of and listen to your body. Do not push or strain and instead do some more gentle poses. All women are different with regards to menstruation.

It is. It's not a real period though. But about a third of women experience bleeding in the first few months of their pregnancy. So it can look an awful lot like a period and it can definitely confuse people. 🙈
