A story of then vs NOW (swipe)✨
Sometime back I was told, “Henal should lose the baby weight now, especially since you are a fitness coach!”
Losing post baby weight is extremely subjective! Some women lose it just like that by breast feeding. I’ve also read some very popular influencer write, “what can I say guys I got lucky.” But you know what? Henal wasn’t lucky.
She had to workout and my GETSETFIT family will vouch for her consistency.
Childbirth breaks your strengths in ways you cannot see. She’s worked my really hard for her glutes and back to feel stronger.
Next she worked on mobility. That’s when she felt the need to be lighter, only so she could avoid injuries. Now she’s working on her upper body strength.
It’s almost 2 years of working out since the baby, and she’s come a long way. Even if some stranger (read MAN) doesn’t feel that way. And that’s all that counts.
She says, “I’ve been at it for months and I’ve toned my body to some extent. But my body is like nope, I’m good here, let’s not get smaller. But this mom isn’t quitting. If you’re someone who isn’t “magically” getting rid of her weight or isn’t getting “lucky” in this department, then I got you u 🫶🏻!”

14 years together and here we are !
By each other’s side, building our lives together, building our family together, building our GETSETFIT community together and for now building this mug together! Our virtual family often tells us, we’re couple goals, but let us tell you, there are days when we’re awful to eachother, there are days we’re hurtful to each other, there are days we’re insensitive to each other. But at the end of all this we find a way to crawl back into each other’s side!!
Working together and living together means we’re with each other practically 24x7. It comes with its pros and cons! We’re often at loggerheads as would the case with any passionate entrepreneurs! It is tough because when you switch off from work you go back home with the same person you disagreed with. We’ve had our share of learnings of how to balance this equation! And we continue to do so! But like we said, at the end of all this we find a way to crawl back into each other’s side!!
Raising a child together is an overwhelming job. To simplify this we took the concept of gender roles and threw it outside the window. And so does every other concept that does not make sense to both of us when it comes to raising our family. Having spent over a decade together, we’re literally 2 people who are raised differently, but we spent our late teens and early 20s together. And we stuck to each others side since then, no matter what!
Does the newness wear off after a few years? Obviously not!! Because there are software updates that keep coming that keep us hooked much like our Getsetfit app! 😉

I had the most comfortable pregnancy! I also had the smoothest conception! But I’m not lying when I say, I was superrr worried about will I get pregnant!! I have PCOS. I had read so much about PCOS being a hinderance to pregnancy. That my eggs were cystic so my chances are smaller etc etc. all the noise around biological clock ticking, get pregnant before 30! Wow! Looking back it was such a pressure cooker situation! The decision to get pregnant shouldn’t be guided by these factors! It should be about when we’re in the right head space!
Ironically if you have PCOS, one of the ways to manage PCOS better is to stress less! 😂
Pcos is not a monster. It is a condition that can be managed with a healthy lifestyle. Eat right, eat at the right time, exercise right, sleep well, manage your stress. This is easier said than done. Especially when the world keeps throwing the horror stories like it’s difficult to lose weight with PCOS; but losing weight is the only way to manage PCOS!!
It’s like telling a child don’t eat this candy and leaving it there! He will 100% fail and give in!
So to all the women out there who are managing their PCOS and plan to get pregnant! All you need to do is eat well, drink water, sleep and be happy! Don’t let the internet bully you into overthinking that you have a long struggle ahead of you! Your body is magical and has the best remedies to heal everything, just nourish it well! With good food and thoughts!

We both workout but HER body goes through a lot more🤔
She delivered a baby almost 24 months back, she breast fed, had sleepless nights, she’s been actively running a business,
She’s the partner in running, powering and maintaining the house,
She gets her monthly burst of hormones and periods,
She’s emotional,
She’s YOU!
And you know what SHE needs?
No! She doesn’t need society telling her that she’s not losing her mom pouch.
And she needs to be STRONG. Stronger and her strongest possible self.
Her body may or may not change in shape, size or number. But it grows in strength, power and aura.
We need to stop stop questioning fitness for change of body, and focus on the endless abstract benefits of it.
There are something’s that men just don’t have to go through and that is why our bodies change differently even if we both workout.
You can workout everyday, and still look the way you are. Society, we don’t care! 🤷♀️

Body hai… bodies are meant to change.

Being a fitness coach, an entrepreneur, a father, a husband, a son, a brother, an inspiration to many out here, I can tell you my biggest teacher has been working out every single day.
It has taught me patience, given me confidence, pulled me through tough days, made me realise my existence and given my life a purpose.

At 18 when most of my friends would consume alcohol for fun, I was consumed by alcohol in every possible way.
I would appear for exams under the influence of alcohol. I would go for cinema, dinners, dates, everywhere intoxicated.
It’s been 7 months now and I haven’t touched a single drop. At 32 I feel my best I have ever felt. I am more connected with myself. I can do more for myself and everyone around me.
It’s ok if you’ve made mistakes in the past. Don’t judge yourself. Love yourself, unlearn for a better you.
From “KAL SE BANDH KARUNGA”, to “NEXT PARTY ME PAKKA PIYUNGA!” It’s been a long journey. You better not take any pressure my friend. If you are trying to give up on any habit, one day the voice inside you will ignite too, you will find your “WHY”, till then let’s take it one day at a time.

Stop the Bloat Hate 👀
Your body is not supposed to look the same throughout the day. You eat and drink, have salt and carbs, go through menstruation or constipation and it makes you a little puffy, so what? Will you completely stop food and water? no, right!
Bloating is natural and necessary for you. No one is spared from it.. Not even a fitness trainer with visible abs. Social media may tell you to look chiselled all the time but you don’t.. You really don’t!
My 8am body looks completely different from 8pm because I have hearty meals, beverages, work and so much more and it is all worth it.
So bloat my babies... BLOAT!

As a fitness coach I need to do way more than just upgrade my knowledge on fitness. I have to create reels, face the camera, be good at marketing, be creative with content ideas and so much more. Take care of the 200+ people who participate in our programs. And mental fatigue is just a part of my job.
Working out has helped my mental health in ways I can’t imagine!
This is how👇🏼
-When i workout i feel responsible towards what I eat,
-I end up drinking more water,
-I sleep early coz my body is done,
-I wake up early the next day.
-All of this make my life simple.
-Lesser decisions to make.
-More growth.
-More confidence.
-Less mental fatigue.
