Professional Golf in India mourns the loss of Shiv Prakash, a stalwart professional and PGA of India member from Kanpur, this soft spoken and gentle natured golfer with an massive appetite for tour victories had 18 professional tournament victories to his name.

May his humble soul rest in peace 🙏

With deep regret we inform you of the passing away of one of our tallest pillars of Indian golf. A long standing member of the Professional Golfers’ Association member and former PGA of India President Mr Siddharth Shriram.

Mr Shriram was instrumental in structuring the professional golf tour while he was the President at the Pga of India from 1995-1999.

He also represented the Pga of India at the Augusta Masters Golf Tournament regularly during his tenure.

This is great loss for the sport of golf India who saw Mr Shriram as one of it’s biggest promoters and pillars in the structuring and sponsorship of professional golf with the big purse Honda - SIEL PGA Championships tournaments, putting together teacher development by organising seminars through his friends at the British PGA and supporting development of golf at the Junior Training Program at the Delhi Golf Club and promotion of golf by offering sponsoring support of the IGU boys / girls junior and amateur golf tours and national teams under the banner of his company Mawana Sugar & USHA International.

May his generous benevolent soul rest in peace 🙏

During these unsettling times COVID-19 is clearing impacting our personal and professional lives, and of those that we love.

I wanted to wish all of you, your loved ones and my fellow professional colleagues a safe and secure passage through this difficult period.

It is a challenge to operate under the current situation and restrictions; however, I am super confident we will get through this as well, together.

Stay in a positive state of mind and find a little time to have some fun and smile.
