Celebrating Excellence and Service: Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony 2026

On February 26, the College Amphitheatre was filled with pride and energy as Dyal Singh College hosted its Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony.

It was a landmark day for the NSS Unit, as our collective dedication to social transformation was recognized on the grandest stage.
We are thrilled to share that our core members and department heads were honored with trophies for their exceptional leadership and vision throughout the session. In a beautiful gesture of inclusivity, every one of our hardworking volunteers was awarded a medal, celebrating the tireless "Not Me, But You" spirit that drives our unit. From health camps to educational outreach, these awards belong to the entire NSS family.

As we stood alongside the college's top academic and extracurricular achievers, we felt a renewed commitment to our mission.

The Padma Shri Dr. Shyam Singh Shashi Memorial Lecture 2026, held on 20th February, 2026 at Civil Services Officers’ Institute (CSOI), Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, was a truly enriching and insightful experience. The event beautifully celebrated the legacy of Dr. Shyam Singh Shashi, bringing together eminent personalities and meaningful discussions.

The presence of Nobel Peace Laureate Kailash Satyarthi added immense value, inspiring everyone with his powerful words and vision. The session was filled with engaging conversations, thoughtful perspectives and active participation from the audience, making it both interactive and impactful.

The event concluded on a warm and positive note with High Tea, leaving everyone motivated, inspired and enriched by the overall experience.

NSS DSC को 20 फरवरी 2026 को CSOI, नई दिल्ली में आयोजित डॉ. श्याम सिंह शशि (पद्म श्री) के जीवन के स्मरणोत्सव कार्यक्रम में भाग लेने का अवसर प्राप्त हुआ।
मुख्य अतिथि, श्री कैलाश सत्यार्थी (नोबेल शांति पुरस्कार विजेता) ने बाल श्रम और बाल शोषण के विरुद्ध हमारी आवाज़ को केवल एक सामाजिक संघर्ष नहीं बल्कि भारत में हमारे अटूट विश्वास की सशक्त घोषणा में भी बदली।

इस कार्यक्रम में डॉ• योगेंद्र नारायण, कुलाधिपति, गढ़वाल विश्वविद्यालय, (पूर्व महासचिव, राज्यसभा और रक्षा सचिव, भारत सरकार) विशेष अतिथि डॉ. संदीप मारवाह, संस्थापक एवं कुलाधिपति, एएएफटी और  श्री श्याम परांदे, महासचिव (एआरएसपी) की अध्यक्षता में आयोजित। जिसने विद्यार्थियों को शिक्षा के माध्यम से  नीतिशास्त्र और सदाचार जैसे माध्यम से राष्ट्रीय एकता को प्राप्त करने की इच्छाशक्ति को उजागर किया।

कार्यक्रम में प्रमुख विषय रहे: 💬
• ऑनलाइन बाल यौन शोषण में भयावह वृद्धि।
• सत्ता और नैतिक पाखंड के पीछे की सच्चाई।
• श्री कैलाश सत्यार्थी जी डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प के नोबेल पुरस्कार के प्रति जुनून पर भी विचार करते हैं।

NSS सदस्यों और सभी वर्गों के नागरिकों की भारी भागीदारी के साथ ही उद्देश्य और ऊर्जा भी भरपूर थी।
यह महज एक कार्यक्रम नहीं था, यह प्रतिरोध, जोखिम और अटूट आशा का प्रमाण है।

Literary luminaries and informative scholars from diverse fields, spanning literature, history, philosophy, and beyond took the stage with captivating speeches. Their insights sparked dialogues on culture, identity, and innovation, inspiring young minds to embrace the transformative power of expression.

NSS volunteers were the heartbeat of the event, pouring their energy into seamless management, expert crowd control, vibrant decorations, and more ensuring every moment flowed like a well-turned verse.

Day 7: NSS Special Camp'26 NAVCHETNA

Day 7 of the NSS Special Camp '26 themed NAVCHETNA: "साक्षर, सजग और संजीवनी समाज की प्रेरणा," marked the successful conclusion of the week-long journey.
The grand Valedictory Ceremony commenced with a traditional lamp lighting and a graceful Ganesha Vandana dance performance by the volunteers. A highlight of the session was an interactive dialogue with Virat Tiwari from the UNMUKT Foundation, followed by an energetic performance of the NSS Lok Geet.
The final day also included a practical educational visit to the Cyber Security Police Station. Volunteers attended an awareness session on cyber safety, learning about digital responsibility, phishing scams, and identity theft.
The camp concluded with a prize distribution ceremony and a vote of thanks by Programme Officer Dr. Shweta Rani, leaving the volunteers inspired and committed to social transformation.
