Your nervous system is wired for connection.
This means the people around you are constantly affecting your mind and body.
When you are with someone who feels safe:
⢠Your stress response calms down
⢠Oxytocin (the bonding hormone) increases
⢠Your heart rate and blood pressure settle
Your body learns:
âI can relax here.â
But the opposite is also true.
Our brains naturally mirror other peopleâs emotions.
This is called emotional contagion.
Thatâs why:
Being around calm, kind people helps you feel grounded.
Being around negative or hostile people can make you feel anxious or tense.
Over time, toxic environments can affect:
⢠sleep
⢠focus
⢠mood
* physical health
Which is why one simple practice matters.
Pause and notice:
How do you feel after spending time with certain people?
Calm?
Drained?
Peaceful?
Agitated?
Your body always gives signals.
Choose more relationships that make your nervous system feel safe, seen, and supported.

Sometimes the bravest thing we can do is let go.

Choose peace over pressure.
Choose what feels right over what feels heavy.
