Tata Motors will set up a factory to manufacture lithium-ion batteries in Sanand, northern Gujarat, with an initial manufacturing capacity of 20 gigawatt hours, in a bid to meet the growing demand for electric vehicles, company Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran announced at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit today.
