The only closely-contested losses were against Arsenal and Brighton, with United outplayed and essentially blown away in the rest. This is a major concern, which likely relates to their mentality somewhat given extra pressure in front of an away crowd against a top side, and something that has to be addressed heading into next season.

➕ | You don’t remotely compete for league titles with such dreadful results, and for the most part performances, on the road against the sides that need to be beaten to rise to the head of the table. It often seems all discipline and patterns of play get forgotten in away games of any decent magnitude - Sevilla included - which cannot be allowed to happen. United have generally shown they can more than compete at home against these sides, but there is some sort of significant obstacle, which cannot be easily deciphered, to overcome when facing them on their own patches.
