This manager was a rising star in the company — sharp, driven, and always delivering results.
But over the last few months, something had changed.
This manager was snapping at the team.... result?
Deadlines started slipping....
This manager's usual spark was missing.
One day, after a tense meeting, this manager stormed into the elevator, hit the close button, and just… exhaled.
While looking at the reflection in the mirror, the manager thought,
"Why am I so angry all the time?
What’s wrong with everyone lately?"
The manager took a looong pause...and questioned self...
"What if it’s not about them?
What am I really feeling?"
The manager allowed self to sit with the discomfort.
After a moment, a wave of realization whispered .....It wasn’t anger.....It was exhaustion...disappointment...loneliness from constantly being the strong one... the one who had no space to fall apart.
That one moment of emotional self-awareness changed the trajectory.
The manager didn’t quit the job.
The manager didn’t fire anyone.
The manager didn’t need a vacation.
The manager simply started to be aware each day
“What am I really feeling right now?”
“What needs my attention — not from others, but from me?”
Over time, the leadership became softer but more powerful.
The team reconnected with the manager.
The manager's decisions became clearer as they weren’t clouded by unexamined emotion.....the magic is Emotional Self-Awareness.
Emotional Self-Awareness is the ability to recognize and understand your own emotions as they arise, while they’re happening, and how they impact your thoughts and hence decisions and behavior.
It’s not just knowing that you’re sad or angry...it’s understanding what exactly you’re feeling...why you’re feeling it...how is this feeling affecting your actions, tone, and choices and due to this, are your reactions truly aligned with your values?
Next time when you experience an emotion...hold for a moment and reflect ...this might be a game changer for you as well...

"Success is not final, Failure is not fatal, the Courage to continue is what counts"
We need to be emotionally intelligent to handle both, the success and the failure.
We need to stay balanced i.e. while we celebrate wins, we must keep on growing; we must learn from failures but never allow failure to define us.
If we don't handle success,we can become overconfident (and we know these sort of people), failure can make us doubt ourselves, hence we must keep ourselves aware about our strengths, capabilities and skills and orientated towards our purpose.
Every great leader, in any field, may be corporate, sports, entrepreneurship etc, is born post many setbacks but what sets them apart from others is their resilience.....

Success isn’t built overnight—it’s a result of small, intentional steps taken every day. Whether it’s our career, personal growth, or a passion project, having a clear vision keeps us on track.
We must take a moment today to reflect: Are our daily actions aligned with our ultimate goal? If not, what small change can we make right now to get closer?

Kindness and positivity, when shared with others, naturally reflect back to the giver, much like how light spreads and illuminates everything around it.

If someone’s arrogance annoys you, it might mean you struggle with confidence or dislike arrogance because you fear being seen that way..... Perception is Projection.

Everything we perceive from the external world is a reflection of the universe within us.
The world around us acts as a mirror, reflecting every fragment of our inner selves. When we transform our inner world, the external reality naturally realigns.
Within each of us lies the entire cosmos—a microcosm of the infinite. Every thought, emotion, and belief we hold radiates outward, shaping the reality we experience. Like a still lake that mirrors the sky, a serene and balanced inner world reveals an outer reality filled with beauty, connection, and limitless potential.
Consider gratitude as an example. When we nurture gratitude within, we begin to see abundance, kindness, and opportunities all around us—manifestations of our internal state. This reminds us that the universe is not something external but a reflection of the vast, intricate cosmos inside us.
To change the world around us, we must begin with ourselves. By diving deep into our inner being, we discover that the essence of creation flows from within. Mastering life is about aligning our inner universe with harmony; when we do, the outer universe resonates with the same melody.
The world outside will always mirror the state of the world within. When we thrive inwardly, the universe reflects that abundance. Let us look inward, for the key to transforming everything, lies in the transformation of ourselves.
"Transform Yourself to Transform the World Around"
Align your inner world to unlock the limitless potential of your outer reality.

Have you ever felt overwhelmed by stress or anxiety, hindering your ability to perform at your best? Or perhaps you've struggled to foster a collaborative and harmonious environment?
If so, you're not alone. (EI) offers a powerful solution, and is shedding light on how it can transform our lives.
Recently I had an opportunity to conducted a full day workshop to unleash the power of , bringing together a group of 25 individuals eager to explore this essential skill.
One of the key topics we delved into was the fascinating intersection of EI and neuroscience. By understanding how these two fields are interconnected, we can gain valuable insights into our emotional experiences and learn effective strategies for managing stress and anxiety.
Neuroscience reveals that our brains are wired to respond to stress and anxiety in specific ways. When faced with perceived threats or challenges, our bodies activate the "fight-or-flight" response, releasing stress hormones like cortisol. While this response was crucial for survival in ancient times, it can be detrimental in today's fast-paced world.
By practicing the EI techniques discussed in the workshop, participants have mentioned that they are now becoming more aware of their emotions, accepting them and slowing down to allows themselves to understand their underlying causes and develop healthier coping mechanisms.
They are also able to empathize with others in the play and are able to start building more collaborative relationships.
The tools and techniques such as using breathing to manage and maintain emotional states, mindfulness meditation, or body scan, practiced and shared in the workshop is helping to manage stress effectively resulting in overall well-being and resiliency.
When we combine the insights from neuroscience with the practical tools of EI, we can unlock our full potential. By understanding how our brains respond to stress and anxiety, and by practicing techniques to regulate our emotions and cultivate empathy, we can create a more balanced and fulfilling life.

The Power of NLP: Rekindling Passion in a Workshop Participant
In a recent workshop I facilitated, I had the opportunity to witness the incredible power of a technique called NLP Mapping-Across. This technique helped a participant reignite his passion for learning a new technology, an area where motivation had previously eluded him.
The participant was incredibly enthusiastic & super fired up and driven in about one aspect of his life, i.e. fitness. He is a gym regular, consistently crushing his goals – a picture of dedication. However, there is another area, which is learning a new technology, where his motivation seemed to evaporate. He yearned for the same drive and spark he experienced with fitness.
(I am grateful to the participant to open-up and ask for help.)
This is where NLP Mapping-Across came into play. I was able to elicit the sub-modalities, of his highly motivated state at the gym and I compared these details to the sub-modalities present when he felt unmotivated.
As the gap between these two sets of sub-modalities was bridged, a clear shift became evident in the participant's non-verbal cues. His body language communicated a newfound internal spark.
This real life example serves as a mere glimpse into the vast world of NLP. It's important to remember that NLP isn't a one-size-fits-all solution, but rather a powerful tool in a coach's toolbox. Weeks after the workshop, i.e. today, I received fantastic feedback from the participant. His love and dedication for learning the new technology had reignited, and he is on the journey as he wanted, a testament to the effectiveness of the NLP technique.
This experience highlights the potential of NLP to help people bridge the gap between their current state and their desired state. By understanding the internal representations of our emotions and motivations, we can unlock powerful tools for personal growth and transformation.

Have you ever felt stuck in the past? Dwelling on missed or past failures?
During a recent session, we embarked on a to revisit those moments, not with regret, but with a lens of and . We explored both the triumphs and setbacks that shaped us, discovering the hidden that emerged from them.
Recently during one of the training session at TATA Communications, I had an opportunity to address the participants. I offered them a trance-formative to the past.
During this the participants travelled back in time, not to relive past disappointments, but to observe them with a newfound perspective. Participants revisited moments where things didn't go as planned. Some recalled challenging work presentations, others relived academic , and a few even revisited personal , many experienced un-resourcefulness.
During this Transforming Disappointment into Wisdom visualization, the participants reflected on each problem/challenge, and discovered a wealth of knowledge & wisdom from these experiences which can be leveraged now and in future. Some learned the importance of perseverance, others discovered new skills they developed in overcoming challenges, and many realized the strength of their support network.
The training part wasn't just about revisiting setbacks but about celebrating victories as well! Participants reflected on moments where they stepped outside their comfort zones, showcased their strengths, and overcame their perceived limitations and with all different moments in the timeline in past, where different strengths were exhibited, felt more resourceful and the state in those moments were refelt and anchored.
Through these experiential exercises, participants began to reframe their personal narratives, rebuilt confidence. Past failures were no longer roadblocks, but stepping stones to growth. They recognized the resilience and resourcefulness they possessed, even during difficult times. Witnessing the strength of their peers further bolstered their confidence, creating a supportive and empowering atmosphere.
