गीतम् वादयम् तथा नृत्यं त्रयम संगीतमुच्यते |
Singing, playing, dancing combined called as music.
DANCE : Movement of soul through the body. It is the purest form of emotions, movements and spirituality.
TABLA : A pair of twin hand drums. It is an important rhythmic instrument which accompanies Kathak.
HARMONIUM : A melodious instrument which accompanies Kathak as Nagama.
TANPURA : It is a long necked plucked string instrument. It does not play melody but rather supports and sustains the melody of another instrument or singer by providing a continuous harmony.
GHUNGROO : Set of brass bells which serve to accentuate the rhythmic aspects of the dance and allow complex footwork to be heard by the audience.
Music is the art of arranging sounds in time to produce a composition through the elements of melody, harmony, rhythm. Music gives peace to the soul. It has the power to make your soul move. It's soothing, it's emotional, it's positive.
