Bharat Scouts & Guides (J&K Chapter)

Scouts Canada announced this morning that starting today we will be moving to ban campfires from all Scouting activities in an attempt to better meet the changing needs and preferences of Canadian youth.

BP&P will be amended to include Section 4100: Campfires which will phase out the use of traditional "fire" campfires, to be replaced by the modern safe substitute, a tablet screen playing a YouTube video of a traditional fire.

Scouts have told us they love the much easier "screen fire" approach. "I just push a button" said Frank Firebug who won a contest to be able to write today's Facebook message, "No need for matches, or heat, or anything like that, it's just that easy"

In case you did not notice this was posted on the morning of April 1st - we actually love campfires!

Srinagar: 30th Oct.2014. Sanitation drive and Relief distribution was organized by J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides Dist. Anantnag in collaboration with Yousf Meher Ally Centre Mumbai, NYC Ang and Muncipal Council Ang. at various flood affected places of Anantnag. In the drive District Commissioner(S) Mr. Mohd Rouf, District Organizing Commissioner(S) Mr. Abdul Ahad Shah, District Training Commissioner (S) Mr. Mohammad Akram Ganie, Zonal Commissioner Mr. Arshid Baba, Scouts & Guides Of Frobel Public School Anantnag participated and later distributed relief to the flood affected Families.

Srinagar: 02 Oct.2014. Our State HQ. Commissioner(B.A.Dar), Divisional Training Commissioner( Ali Mohd wani), Office Assistant (Mohd Yaseen)along with some other Leaders and Rovers starts the cleanning of SHQ Srinagar.

Srinagar: 28 sept.2014. See some pictures before the flood and after the flood of our State Headquarter Srinagar (J&K).As you all are aware that before some months State Govt. of J&K has gave us a beautiful Hut in the Youth Hostel premisses Srinagar, and NHQ has gave some financial Aid for the furniture purpose of SHQ. we had make it very beautiful. But in the recent disaster we had lost all(precious documents, files, data, computers, equipments and other precious materials).

Srinagar 21 September 2014: As today whole world is celebrating World PEACE Day and our scouts/Rovers and Adult Leaders are continuously doing Peace activity's in the Kashmir(J&K).
