The Khyber Downtown Champions League (DCL) T20 Cricket Tournament is organized by sincere cricket enthusiasts,experienced cricketers and cricket pundits.

The main reason behind launching this cricketing extravaganza to encourage youngsters to play the game and show what they are capable of. GOALS:

This is not a tournament where we will see the same old faces performing on the field experienced hands will be working behind the scene and off the field. That is why the think tank of the DCL has decided to play absolute fair games . The Organizers of the KDCL have made it mandatory for all the franchisees to play at least four (4) from the Downtown Srinagar in their playing -XI. This is primarily being done to provide a genuine and serious platform for cricketers from the downtown Srinagar their mettle.All teams and players are expected to maintain discipline and professional conduct of highest order.Any player or official involved with the KDCL franchisees or organizing body found guilty of taking performance enhancing drugs or any banned substances will automatically be banned from participating further in the cricket league. Culpable may be banned for life from taking part in KDCL seasons. The organizers have adopted an Anti. Corruption Code with an aim to discourage all those elements intending to bring cricket,the gentleman's game,into disrepute. It has become a cliched expression that he Valley of Kashmir has abundant talent in sports but lacks exposure.Indeed,our mountainous valley is hugely talented in sports especially in soccer and cricket. The game of glorious uncertainties - is followed like a religion in India,Pakistan, Srilanka and Bangladesh. The KDCL,T20,2013 is run by a group of professional cricketers,cricket experts and able administrators,all of whom are fully acquainted with the art and skill of finding the new talent,We have the people whose eye possess
an eye for talent.We want to give our state more Parvez Rasools. Its no secret Kashmir has produced a galaxy of cricketers who have represented the state at various levels. TOURNAMENT FORMAT:
Its the first edition of the KDCL,T20 a total of 12 teams,each owned by separate franchisee, will participate in the tournament on league basis. The top four teams,the first on points table,will play the QUALIFIER 1, ELIMINATOR and QUALIFIER 2 to decide the two finalists. The top two teams with most points on the table will battle it out against each other in the QUALIFIER 1. The winner of the QUALIFIER 1 will seal the place in the finals. The loser in this case will have another opportunity to reach the finals in the QUALIFIER 2. The bottom two teams in the top four on the points table will clash in the ELIMINATOR. The winner of the Eliminator will have to play the loser of the QUALIFIER 1 in the QUALIFIER 2.The winner at this stage will then go through to the finals to meet the winner of the QUALIFIER 1. IN THE FINALS,TWO TEAMS WILL COMPETE AGAINST EACH OTHER FOR THE ULTIMATE GLORY THE KDCL,T20 TROPHY 2013...

Srinagar, Feb 28 (GNS): Jammu & Kashmir scripted history by clinching their maiden Ranji Trophy title after securing a first-innings lead over Karnataka in the 2025-26 final, as the summit clash ended in a draw.

In their first-ever appearance in a Ranji Trophy final, J&K, as per GNS, delivered a commanding performance with both bat and ball to outplay the eight-time champions.

Riding on a massive first-innings total of 584, J&K put Karnataka under sustained pressure, restricting them to 293 and earning a decisive advantage that ultimately sealed the championship.

Centuries from Qamran Iqbal (160*) and Sahil Lotra (101*) underlined J&K’s batting dominance. The duo stitched together a crucial 197-run partnership that consolidated the innings and ensured Karnataka remained on the back foot throughout the contest.
