Nel CMJ, lโ€™altezza di salto รจ un outcome immediato (e sรฌ, vogliamo che aumenti). Ma รจ fortemente influenzata dalla strategia: lo stesso atleta puรฒ saltare di piรน o di meno a seconda di come si muove (profonditร  del contromovimento, tempo di esecuzione, ritmo). Per questo, oltre allโ€™altezza, ha senso monitorare contraction time e depth of the jump: ci dicono come รจ stato prodotto quel salto. Conoscendo questi parametri e riconoscendo la strategia, possiamo valutare la qualitร  dellโ€™altezza raggiunta. Altrimenti, presa da sola, lโ€™altezza puรฒ ingannare.

In the CMJ, jump height is an instant outcome (and yes, we want it higher). But itโ€™s highly strategy-dependent: the same athlete can jump more or less depending on movement strategy (countermovement depth, ex*****on time, tempo). Thatโ€™s why, beyond height, itโ€™s useful to track contraction time and depth of the jumpโ€”they reveal how the height was achieved. Knowing these metrics and recognizing the strategy lets you judge the quality of the result. Otherwise, taken in isolation, height can be misleading.
