Nel CMJ, lโaltezza di salto รจ un outcome immediato (e sรฌ, vogliamo che aumenti). Ma รจ fortemente influenzata dalla strategia: lo stesso atleta puรฒ saltare di piรน o di meno a seconda di come si muove (profonditร del contromovimento, tempo di esecuzione, ritmo). Per questo, oltre allโaltezza, ha senso monitorare contraction time e depth of the jump: ci dicono come รจ stato prodotto quel salto. Conoscendo questi parametri e riconoscendo la strategia, possiamo valutare la qualitร dellโaltezza raggiunta. Altrimenti, presa da sola, lโaltezza puรฒ ingannare.

In the CMJ, jump height is an instant outcome (and yes, we want it higher). But itโs highly strategy-dependent: the same athlete can jump more or less depending on movement strategy (countermovement depth, ex*****on time, tempo). Thatโs why, beyond height, itโs useful to track contraction time and depth of the jumpโthey reveal how the height was achieved. Knowing these metrics and recognizing the strategy lets you judge the quality of the result. Otherwise, taken in isolation, height can be misleading.
