And that’s a wrap!

Massive achievement from all the cyclists that took part in Macmillan Jersey Cycle Challenge 2023. Simply Incredible, words can’t quite sum up how proud we all are of The Green Team 💚

Now time for a well earned glass of vino, shower and maybe a massage or two.

Lots of tears, tired bodies, and sore bottoms but they all made it 🔥

The cyclists are now so close to finishing this incredible 560km, Bologna to Rome challenge, and all still with huge smiles.

Last water stop complete 💧

Now onwards to Roma 🇮🇹

Day 4 - Bolsena to Bracciano
Distance: 125km
Elevation Gain: 1,844m

It’s not the toughest day but it’s a very close second 💚

Everyone is on great form today after an inspirational message of support from James Golding - One Step At A Time, and in the knowledge this is the final full day in the saddle 💥

Day 3 – Cortona to Bolsena
Distance: 120km
Elevation Gain 1,048m

What a beauty… 💚

From sunrise walks around Cortona (one to visit), to big climbs, that some absolutely loved!!! (Fungi Delecti), to finishing 120km and sitting by the lake and pool ☀️

It’s an incredibly hard challenge and we’re just over half way, it’s nice to reward the cyclists for all the effort put in. Thank you to Walkers Law Firm for sponsoring tonight’s wine tasting… when in Rome (well not quite yet but almost) 🇮🇹

After navigating the slightly busy streets of Florence they are climbing high into the hills and onwards to water stop no. 1 💧

Plenty of hydration required as the temperature hits 28c 🔥 today is a long one and will require lots of focus.

Day 2 –Florence to Cortona
Distance: 136km
Elevation Gain 1,441m

It’s going to be hot ☀️

After a gruelling day in the saddle Team Green 💚 are enjoying a little down time with a tour of some historical sites in Florence.

Then dinner, bed, and up early for another long day - 136km 🚵‍♂️💪

What a morning view. Some really steep climbs but all the cyclists have past water stop 💧 one and onwards to lunch.

Then it’s a much kinder afternoon cycle!

You can smell a mixture of nerves, lack of sleep and excitement.
