Quattro posti che sulla mappa sono a pochi chilometri uno dall'altro. Correndoli, diventano tutta un'altra cosa. 🏝️
Marina di Campo — Il paese da cui si parte e dove si torna. La mattina della gara è pieno di gente, la sera è di nuovo un porto tranquillo.
Chiessi — La costa che scende a picco sul mare, con la strada che si arrampica sopra le case.
Pomonte — Poche case tra il granito e la spiaggia, con la montagna che se le tiene strette.
Costa del Sole — Acqua trasparente e sabbia chiara, il tratto che tutti fotografano e nessuno riesce a rendere. 🌊
In macchina li attraversi in mezz'ora. A piedi, con un pettorale addosso, te li ricordi per anni.

Four places just a few kilometres apart on the map. Running them, they become something else entirely. 🏝️
Marina di Campo — Where the race starts and ends. On race morning it's packed; by evening it's a quiet harbour again.
Chiessi — The coast dropping straight into the sea, with the road climbing above the houses.
Pomonte — A handful of houses between the granite and the beach, held tight by the mountain.
Costa del Sole — Clear water and pale sand, the stretch everyone photographs and nobody quite captures. 🌊
By car you cross them in half an hour. On foot, with a bib on, you remember them for years.
