Hidden Venice by Remiera Casteo
The Remiera Casteo is a non profit sport association (A.S.D.), founded in Venice, Italy, in 1970, that develops activities to spread the knowledge of traditional Venetian rowing, organising rowing courses and partecipating to traditional events. The headquarters of Remiera Casteo were devastated by 2012's tornado: all the activities and boats are now hosted in temporary sheds. The headquarters are a meeting point for locals of all ages, since many events are hosted there, such as conferences, traditional festivals, celebrations, rowing courses, meetings, non competitive regattas. The funding will help in rebuilding the headquarters, preserve tradional boats and develop activities to spread the Venetian rowing.
Remiera Casteo is a recognised member of CONI (inscription number F050950), Italian National Olympic Commitee, member of International Olympic Committee (IOC), responsible for the development and management of sports activity in Italy.
Remiera Casteo is a recognised non profit culture and sport association, ASSOCIAZIONE REMIERA CASTEO, registered at the Municipality of Venice (Deliberation n.87 of 17/07/2000, Municipality Associations Register n. 1876)
