h begins right from the cruise pier in Falmouth where your guide and transportation are waiting for you. The drive is scenic and travel time is not long so the fun starts quickly. When you arrive at the facilities, you will get checked in and receive a briefing from your guide. Then you will follow them for a short walk through the rain forest to the beautiful Bengal Falls. Here the water cascades down over the rocks forming gentle pools on the way down. The guide will lead the group for a walk up to the top, traveling salmon style against the cool water. You can relax in one of the pools and enjoy the massaging flow of the water pouring downhill. You will have about 45 minutes at the falls and is an added complimentary bonus for our guests! Then you will put on your safety gear and follow the guide to the river's edge and your rafts. Your group will receive the basics on paddling as a team before you get in your raft and start the thrilling ride downstream. The number of guests per raft will vary according to weight. The staff captain will be steering the raft as you and your boat mates use teamwork to navigate down the Rio Bueno River. Laughter and excitement will pick up as the raft goes through various sections of the class 1 and 2 white water rapids. When you reach a calm part of the river, there is a rope swing that you and the others can enjoy. There will be a few minutes to relax before the final part of the rafting continues through a few more rapids. The currents will lead the rafts under an old stone bridge and to the opening where the river meets the Caribbean. You will go to a private beach where you will have about 45 minutes to relax, refresh with a cold drink, swim and enjoy the reggae tunes playing (time allowing). Your transportation will take you back to your Falmouth pier. Travel time from your pier to the site is included in overall excursion length: 20 minutes from Falmouth, 45 minutes from Montego Bay and 40 minutes from Ocho Rios each way.
