Re: Four straight for Portmore in 4-1 win over Dunbeholden.
Champions Portmore United continued their relentless march towards the playoffs with an impressive 4-1 win over Dunbeholden FC at the Royal Lakes field.
It was the fourth straight win for Portmore United, their eighth in their last 10 games which is also sweet revenge against a Dunbeholden team that defeated them twice this season.
The Ricardo Gardner-coached team consolidate the third spot with 42 points, just four adrift of the inactive leaders Waterhouse FC who are involved in the Flow Caribbean Club Championship.
In form midfielder Chevaney Willis notched a double scoring in the 21st and 41st minutes. Super-sub Shai Smith netted in the 88th minute before Ricardo Morris put the icing on the cake in the 90+4 minute. Kevin Reid scored the consolation goal for Dunbeholden in the 55th minute as they slipped to sixth with 35 points.
Mount Pleasant closed within two points of the leaders with a comprehensive 2-0 win over Tivoli Gardens at the Edward Seaga Sports Complex. Cardel Benbow opened the scoring in 34th minute before Ronaldo Rodney sealed the win in minute 90+6. Mount Pleasant are second on 44 points while Tivoli Garden's playoff hopes took a knock and they remained in seventh on 33 points, still two points adrift of the last playoff position.
At Effortville Community Centre, home team Humble Lion clipped Cavalier FC 2-1 and stayed in the fourth spot on 42 points. The race for top spot and Preliminary Round Champion is getting interesting as only four points separate the top four teams. Vishinul Harris netted his first goal for his new club giving Humble Lion a 24th minute lead. Ronaldo Webster equalized for Cavalier in the 82nd minute and thought they had rescued an away point but Kevon Reid popped up with the winner for Humble Lion scoring in the 84th minute. It was a cruel blow to cavalier as they playoff hopes were dented leaving them in eighth spot on 32 points. But the good thing is that they are just three points below a playoff spot.
Former champions Arnett Gardens returned to winning ways with a 3-1 win over the University of the West Indies (UWI) and jumped into fifth spot on 38 points. In form Kemal Malcolm netted a double in the 38th and 79th minutes while Fabian Reid scored late in the 90+4. Thorn Simpson, yes no one else but Simpson seemed to be scoring for the hapless UWI netting in the 47th minute. It was another dent in UWI's chances of avoiding relegation and the remained in 11th spot on 18 points, now eight points adrift of safety with eight games remaining.
At Constant Spring, home team Molynes United and Vere United battled to a 1-1 draw in a key relegation fight. It was a result that left Molynes United in 10th spot on 26 points while Vere United at the bottom of the 12-team league on 17 points. Kenroy Lumthen scored for Vere United in the 10th minute but Tyrique Wilson responded for Molynes United in the 26th minute for a crucial point that kept them at armâ?Ts length of the bottom two teams in the relegation zone.

Round 24
Saturday, January 25, 2020
Re: Waterhouse win Friday game but four games to play Sunday.
Only four games will be played on Sunday as Waterhouse FC defeated Dunbeholden 3-1 in a game that was brought forward to accommodate their CONCACAF Caribbean Club Championship games next week.
Waterhouse came from behind to beat Dunbeholden 3-1 with a double strike from Rafeik Thomas (36th, 68th) and skipper Keithy Simpson in the 43rd. Former Waterhouse player Andre McFarlane had given Dunbeholden a 29th-minute lead.
The Drewsland-based Waterhouse has opened up a five-point lead atop of the Red Stripe Premier League with 46 points and basically secured their playoff spot. Dunbeholden, on the other hand, is in a real fight to stay in the top six currently holding on to the fifth spot with 35 points.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, the playoff race heats up as sixth-placed Arnett Gardens on 34 points tackle a seventh-place team Tivoli Gardens on 32 points who will be looking to leapfrog them into the last playoff spot. It should be a cracker at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex starting at 8:00 pm.
Arnett has lost their last two games and will be aiming to halt that losing streak. In two outings with Tivoli Gardens, Arnett won the first 1-0 but lost the second game 1-3.
PREDICTION: ARNETT GARDENS 2, TIVOLI GARDENS 1
Champions Portmore United sitting in the fourth spot on 36 points host bottom-placed Vere United on 16 points at the Spanish Town Prison Oval starting at 3:00 pm. Portmore United are on a roll having won six of their last 8 games as they fine-tune preparations for the playoff. Vere United which looks set to be relegated will have their hands full and if they are to avoid the drop they must start winning like now.
PREDICTION: PORTMORE UNITED 3, VERE UNITED 0
At the Stadium East Complex, two teams battling to keep their faint playoff hopes alive clash in a mammoth encounter. Eight-placed Cavalier on 31 points takes on ninth-placed Harbour View on 30 points. Both teams are three and four points adrift of the last playoff spot and they know the importance of a win.
Cavalier is very inconsistent winning three of their last seven games while losing four times. Harbour View is just as inconsistent losing three of their last seven games while winning three times. Both teams have shared victories this season with Harbour View winning the first encounter 3-0 and Cavalier taking revenge with a 2-1 win.
PREDICTION: CAVALIER 1, HARBOUR VIEW 2
If the University of the West Indies (UWI) are to survive relegation then they must beat the team sitting just above them and that's Molynes United. UWI are in 11th spot on 17 points while Molynes United are in 10th place with 24 points. This is a clash between two of the three relegation battlers and either can afford to lose. A lost for UWI would almost guarantee relegation as they would fall 10 points behind Molynes United while a win would see them close the gap to just four points. It is a massive game to be played at the Bowl starting at 3 pm.
PREDICTION: UWI 1, MOLYNES 1
On Monday, second-placed Mount Pleasant on 41 points plays third-placed Humble Lion on 36 points at Drax Hall starting at 8 pm. A win for either team pushes them closer to the playoff which is their aim right now. In their two previous encounters, Mount Pleasant is undefeated drawing the first match 1-1 before winning the second 2-1.

Re: Crunch time as RSPL third round starts.
Itâ?Ts now or never in the Red Stripe Premier League as the third and defining round kicks off with five games on Sunday and one on Monday.
At the end of the third which is after 33 games, the top six teams move onto the playoff while the competition concludes for the clubs ranked 7-12 of which the 11th and 12th placed teams will be relegated.
So with leaders, Waterhouse and Mount Pleasant basically secured a playoff spot the other four positions are up for grabs as only five points separate seven teams between third and ninth.
Waterhouse FC on 40 points tackle bottom-placed Vere United sitting at the bottom of the league with 16 points from 22 games inclusive of only two wins.
The Clarendon-based outfit has not tasted victory in their last nine games. The last win was on November 24th when they whipped Molynes United 3-0. The promoted Vere has struggled all season and will find Waterhouse a tough nut to crack as crunch time grows closers.
But Waterhouse is struggling of late picking up just two points from a possible 12 points in their last four games and now could not have been a better time for Vere to clip Waterhouseâ?Ts wings. They battled to a 0-0 last week while Waterhouse won their first encounter 2-0.
PREDICTION: VERE 1, WATERHOUSE 3
Meanwhile, third-placed Arnett Gardens on 34 points and fourth-placed Humble Lion on 33 points clash at Effortville as both teams try to stay in touch with the leaders while consolidating their playoff spots. Both teams have shared the victories in their two previous games with Humble Lion winning the first 3-1 and Arnett gardens returned the favor 2-1.
PREDICTION: HUMBLE LION 2, ARNETT 1
At Constant Spring, champions Portmore United take on a Molynes United team hovering dangerously above the relegation zone. Portmore has won five of their last seven games and climbed into the fifth spot on 33 points. Molynes United are sitting in 10th spot on 24 points after losing nine of their last 11 games and they cannot afford to slip any further despite holding a seven-point advantage above the relegation zone. This was the fixture in which Molynes United announced themselves to the league with a stunning 3-0 opening day win over Portmore United who in turn won the second outing 2-0 and are favored to win the third encounter.
PREDICTION: MOLYNES UNITED 1, PORTMORE 1
In a key match-up, Dunbeholden who is holding onto the last playoff spot in sixth on 32 points takes on a Cavalier team in seventh on 31 points and looking to leapfrog them. Dunbeholden is a tough hard-tackling team with some uncompromising defenders while Cavalier is a young and vibrant team with talented players that can break down any team. the stage is set for an epic battle at Royal Lakes Complex.
PREDICTION: DUNBEHOLDEN 2, CAVALIER 1
Meanwhile, Tivoli Gardens sitting in the eighth spot on 29 points are still harboring thoughts of making the playoffs and must be fancied to beat a UWI outfit struggling in 11th spot on 17 points and favored being relegated.
PREDICTION: TIVOLI GARDENS 2, UWI 0
On Monday night, second-placed Mount Pleasant on 40 points visits ninth-placed Harbour View on 29 points for the second consecutive week. Last week Monday, Harbour View edged that contest 1-0 but Mount Pleasant is not expected to lose twice to the same opponent in such a short space of time. They will get it right this time and avenged last week's defeat.

Re: Mount Pleasant are new leaders of the RSPL.
St Ann-based Mount Pleasant FA are the new leaders of the Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) following their 2-0 win over Vere United at Drax Hall.
Cardel Benbow (44th) and Kemar Beckford (71st) pushed Mount Pleasant to their fifth win in their last six games and their 12th of the season which propelled them to the top spot on 40 points. Vere United stayed at the bottom of the 12-team league with 15 points following their 10th loss of the season and are heavy favorites to be relegated.
Meanwhile, Waterhouse FC was replaced as to the team following their 2-2 draw with the struggling University of the West Indies (UWI) at Drewsland. Waterhouse has lost its long-standing top spot and is second with 39 points. It was a crucial point for UWI but not quite good enough and they inched to 16 points to be in 11th spot. They are seven points away from safety with a lot of work to do in avoiding relegation. Colorado Murray netted twice for Waterhouse in the 18th and 71st minutes while Thorn Simpson notched a brace for UWI scoring in the 60th and 68th minutes.
Dunbeholden FC has jumped into a playoff spot with a 2-0 win over Cavalier FC at the Royal Lakes field in St Catherine.
Goals by Shevan James (38th) and Andre McFarlane (47th) pushed Dunbeholden to 31 points and up to two places to fifth. The top six teams will be engaged in a playoff for the Red Stripe Premier League title while the bottom six will be battling relegation of which the last two teams will be relegated to the parish leagues.
It was a cruel blow for Cavalier as they saw their two-game winning streak snapped and their playoff hopes took a knock as they slipped a spot to seventh on 28 points.
Champions Portmore United crashed 0-2 to Humble Lion at the Spanish Town Prison Oval and slipped a spot to sixth on 30 points. Goals by Shemar Rhoden (29th) and Shamarie Dallas (50th) took Humble Lion into the third spot with 33 points.
At the Edward Seaga Complex, home team Tivoli Gardens whipped Harbour View 3-0. The West Kingston outfit leapfrogged the Stars of the East into the eighth spot. Both teams are on 26 points and four points adrift of a playoff spot. Veteran Jermaine Johnson (33rd), Stephen Barnett (35th) and Rodico Wellington (78th) all scored for Tivoli Gardens.
On Monday, fourth-placed Arnett Gardens on 33 points host 10th placed Molynes United on 23 points at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex starting at 8 pm. Arnett Gardens can regain the third spot with a win while Molynes can join both Tivoli Gardens and Harbour View on 26 points if they win.

Re: Portmore meet Humble Lion in heavyweight RSPL clash.
Champions Portmore United and Humble Lion will meet in the marquee match of the weekend at the Spanish Town Prison Oval starting at 3 pm.
Both teams are sitting on 30 points with Humble Lion just ahead in the fourth spot by goal difference with Portmore in fifth. Both teams will be looking to really consolidate their playoff berths, hence an intriguing match is in the making.
Portmore United saw their four-game winning streak came to an abrupt end last week by Harbour View 0-1 and they are eager to return to winning ways. Humble Lion also suffered defeat crashing 1-2 at home to Arnett Gardens and both teams will be looking to rebound in style after the festive season.
It will be a tough game as both teams are strong defensively with Humble Lion and leaders Waterhouse FC conceding the least amount of goals with is 17. Humble Lion won their first-round encounter 2-0 and are fan
PREDICTION: PORTMORE UNITED 1, HUMBLE LION 2
Meanwhile, stumbling leaders Waterhouse FC on 38 points have lost their last two games and saw their lead reduced to just a point and they host struggling University of the West Indies (UWI) in 11th spot on 15 points at Drewsland at 7 pm.
Waterhouse has suffered back to back defeat for the first time this season which was their fourth defeat from 20 games and coach Marcel Gayle will be looking to rectify things following the festive season and get straight back to business.
UWI has not won in their last 8 games while losing four times and in fact, they have only won twice this season and will find Waterhouse a hard nut to crack especially playing at home.
PREDICTION: WATERHOUSE 3, UWI 0
In form Mount Pleasant which have won 10 of their last 13 games, are second in the table on 37 points, just one behind Waterhouse and they host bottom-placed Vere United sitting on 15 points at Drax Hall scheduled to start 7 pm.
Mount Pleasant is looking like champions elects as head coach Paul "Tegat" Davis has them playing a beautiful brand of attacking football and Vere United will have a hard time containing the likes of Cardel Benbow and Kemar Beckford.
PREDICTION: MOUNT PLEASANT 3, VERE UNITED 0
In a real dog-fight for the last playoff spot, sixth-placed Cavalier FC and seventh-placed Dunbeholden FC both on 28 points clash at Royal Lakes Complex for a 3 pm assignment. Both teams have won their last two games and an interesting battle is in store as they both know Harbour View is breathing down their necks also. Dunbeholden is a tough team to beat with some solid and experienced defenders but Cavalier is coming off impressive wins against the top two teams Waterhouse and Mount Pleasant and will be full of confidence as coach Rudolph Speid continue to "buss" the youngsters.
Cavalier won their first encounter 3-1 but this is a different and hardened Dunbeholden unit and they will take some stopping but Cavalier with their young and fresh players eager to prove themselves at this level, could surprise once again.
PREDICTION: DUNBEHOLDEN 1, CAVALIER 2
At the Edward Seaga Sports Complex, Tivoli Gardens in ninth spot on 23 points host eighth-placed Harbour View on 26 points with both teams looking to jump in the top-six playoff spot. Tivoli Gardens have tightened things up losing just once in their last six games and will be seeking revenge against a Harbour View team that defeated them 1-0 in the first round.
PREDICTION: TIVOLI GARDENS 2, HARBOUR VIEW 0
On Monday night, third-placed Arnett Gardens on 33 points welcome 10th-placed Molynes United on 23 points to the Jungle for an 8:00 pm encounter to complete the round. Arnett Gardens were one of the teams Molynes United defeated in their brilliant start to the season before faltering and Arnett Gardens now in better form, should return the favor and consolidate their spot. Molynes United have lost their last 13 games but are definitely on the improve once again and could surprise the Junglists but will have to fix their backline against a fast-paced Arnett unit.

Re: Surging Portmore on the prowl.
Having found their strides, the rest of the Red Stripe Premier League teams must be worrying as champions Portmore United are on the hunt for a five consecutive win when they play Harbour View at the Harbour View Mini-Stadium starting at 7 pm.
Portmore United who lost their first three games, have slowly found their rhythm and have won four consecutive matches to be fifth on 30 points and moving menacingly for the leaders. They are four points behind the second placed team and with national striker Cory Burkeā?Ts hitting top form with league high 11 goals, no one can bet against tem reaching the top. They play a Harbour View outfit that have won just twice in their last 10 games and have slipped out of the playoffs down in eighth with 23 points.
They last met on September 22 in which Portmore United won their first game of the season winning 2-1 and with their tails up, will feel confident enough to secure another win over the Stars of the East.
PREDICTION: HARBOUR VIEW 0, PORTMORE UNITED 2
Meanwhile leaders Waterhouse FC on 38 points have won just once in their last five games but still holds a four-point advantage atop of the standing and will prove hard to beat against young Cavalier team holding onto the last playoff spot in sixth with 25 points. Both teams battled to 0-0 draw in their first round encounter and another close encounter is in store.
PREDICTION: CAVALIER 0, WATERHOUSE 2
With both teams sitting on 30 points, third-placed Humble Lion and fourth-placed Arnett Gardens clash at Effortville Community Centre in what should an exciting affair. Both teams are in pretty good form playing good attacking football. Humble Lion won their first meeting 3-1 in the Jungle and Arnett will be seeking revenge and hoping to leapfrog them in the table.
PREDICTION: HUMBLE LION 2, ARNETT GARDENS 1
Having ended their seven-game losing streak, Molynes United will be aiming to get back into the playoff reckoning when they play Dunbeholden FC at Constant Spring. The promoted Molynes United are ninth on 23 points, just two points adrift of a playoff spot. They are coming off a morale-boosting win over the league leaders and could make it two in a row against a Dunbeholden team in seventh spot on 25 points. Molynes won their first meeting 1-0 and wit their renewed confidence, could complete the double.
PREDICTION: MOLYNES UNITED 1, DUNBEHOLDEN 0
There will be a crucial relegation battle at the Wembley Centre of Excellence in Clarendon as bottom-placed Vere United on 14 points take on 10th-placed Tivoli Gardens on 22 points. A defeat for Vere against one of the closest teams could spell relegation while a win for Tivoli Gardens would not only almost guarantee safety, but push them right in the mix for a top six playoff position. Tivoli Gardens are playing much better than their placing would suggest and should win.
PREDICTION: VERE UNITED 0, TIVOLI GARDENS 2
On Monday night, the UWI in 11th spot on 15 points will be hoping for a crucial win when they play second-placed Mount Pleasant on 34 points. UWI will be looking to climb out of the relegation while Mount Pleasant are looking to stay in touch with the leader. It will be a tough task for UWI as Mount Pleasant are playing a brand of attacking football that could see them being crown champions at the end of the season.

Molynes United ends losing streak with 2-1 win over leaders Waterhouse
Struggling Molynes United ended their seven-game losing streak with a hard-fought 2-1 win over leaders Waterhouse at Drewsland tonight.
The promoted Molynes United had lost their last seven games on the trot and 10 of their last 11 matches and had not tasted victory since they defeated Mount Pleasant 1-0 on October 6.
In this their first season in top-flight football, Molynes United started with a bang winning their first six games and led the league before going on a 13 game winless run that saw them plummeted down the table to 10th and just above the relegation zone.
But today's win saw them gained one spot to ninth with 23 points and are back in the running for a top-six playoff spot, sitting just two points adrift of the sixth-placed team.
Sergino Frankson opened the scoring for Molynes United latching onto a through ball and slotted home in the second minute of play.
An own goal by goalkeeper Leon Taylor pulled Waterhouse leveled after he punched into his own goal in the 80th minute.
But as destiny had it, Molynes would not be denied and after Ryan Brown was fouled in the box, Jermy Nelson stepped up and fired home the penalty kick in time added in minute 90+1.
Meanwhile, Waterhouse missed the chance to open up a huge lead atop of the Red Stripe Premier League and remained on 38 points, four ahead of Mount Pleasant who lost on Sunday.

Re: PORTMORE beat Vere 3-1 for fourth straight win.
National striker Cory Burke was on fire as Portmore defeated Vere United 3-1 for their fourth straight win at the Spanish Town Prison Oval.
Burke scored in the 44th and 73rd minutes which takes him to the top of the goalscoring chart with 11 goals. Seigle Knight had given Portmore a 35th-minute lead. Javair Brown scored for Vere United in minute 62.
Portmore United, the defending champions, have climbed onto 30 points and remained in fifth spot while consolidating their playoff position. It was yet another defeat for the promoted Vere United and they stayed at the bottom of the 12-team league on 14 points with the prospect of relegation looking very likely.
Clarendon's standard-bearer Humble Lion stayed fourth on 30 points after edging Harbour View 1-0 courtesy of a Levaughn Williams strike in the 45th minute at Effortville. Harbour View has dropped out of the top six playoffs slipping two places into eighth on 23 points.
At the Edward Seaga Sports Complex home team, Tivoli Gardens rallied from two goals down and earned a share of the points in an exciting 2-2 draw with the University of the West Indies.
Thorn Simpson gave UWI a 6th-minute lead before Jabeur Johnson netted an own goal in the 50th minute. But Johnson would return and pulled one back for Tocoli Gardens in the 80th minute before Donovan Dawkins fired home the equalizer following brilliant work by Trayvone Reid in the 90+1 minute.
This was a game UWI needed to win in the fight to avoid relegation but instead, they stayed in 11th a lot on 15 points while Tivoli is ninth with 22 points, sitting just a point out of a playoff position.
Jamaica College schoolboy Shaniel Thomas scored in the 63rd minute as Cavalier ended a winless run by defeating the inform Mount Pleasant 1-0 at the Stadium East. Re: Surging champions Portmore tackle cellar team Vere United.
With the festive season in full swing, the Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) top teams will not be giving anything away as they try to consolidate their positions while the bottom teams seek to improve and move away from the relegation zone.
Five games will be played on Sunday with champions Portmore United hunting their fourth straight win when they tackle bottom-placed Vere United at the Spanish Town Prison Oval starting at 3 pm.
Portmore United, after a slow start where they lost their first three games, have climbed through the table into a playoff spot to be fifth with 27 points. Vere United who defeated Portmore United in their first game in top-flight football has only won once after that to be sitting at the bottom of the 12-team league with 14 points and in dire straits.
Revenge will certainly be on the minds of Portmore United as they lost 0-2 to Vere on September 8 and based on current form, Portmore should achieve their objective. Vere, on the other hand, is desperate for a victory and are six points adrift of relegation safety and must start putting some positive results together.
PREDICTION: PORTMORE UNITED 2, VERE UNITED 0
Meanwhile, in form Mount Pleasant FA play Cavalier FC at Drax Hall at 7 pm under lights. Mount Pleasant is second on 34 points after winning four of their last five games and nine of their last 11 games. They are the hottest team around after winning just once in their first seven matches.
Cavalier has dropped out of the playoff spot sitting in seventh on 22 points having lost their last two games when they last played the game ended 2-2 but based on the form that Mount Pleasant is in, they should prove too hot for Cavalier.
PREDICTION: MOUNT PLEASANT 3, CAVALIER 1
Third-placed Arnett Gardens on 30 points will be looking to stay in touch with the leaders when they host Dunbeholden FC in eighth spot on 22 at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex at 8 pm. Arnett has won five of their last 8 games while losing just once and are playing some attractive football at the moment. Dunbeholden is also playing pretty good but not getting the desired results and will give Arnett Gardens a handful to contend with.
PREDICTION: ARNETT GARDENS 2, DUNBEHOLDEN 1
Fourth-placed Humble Lion on 27 points welcome sixth-placed Harbour View on 23 points to Effortville for a 5:00 pm encounter. Humble Lion is unbeaten in their last five games and Harbour View has won twice in their last five matches. Their last encounter finished 0-0 and it should be another close match.
PREDICTION: HUMBLE LION 2, HARBOUR VIEW 1
Having moved out of the relegation zone and now sitting seven points above them, Tivoli Gardens in the ninth spot on 21 points will be looking to move further away while enhancing their playoff ambitions. They play a University of the West Indies team in the relegation zone in 11th spot on 14 points. UWI has won just twice from 18 games and looking to be heading for relegation unless they can turn things around drastically. A defeat for Tivoli Gardens would see them fall into the clutches of the relegation battlers. Match time is 3 pm at the Edward Seaga Sports Complex.
PREDICTION: TIVOLI GARDENS 1, UWI 2
In the Monday night football, leaders Waterhouse FC on 38 points hosts a Molynes united team in 10th spot on 22 points after losing their last 7 games on the trot. Molynes who once led the league winning their first six games have not won since and have lost 10 of their last 11 games. Their task will be even harder to break that streak as they play a well-drilled Waterhouse team. But there is a feeling that this will be the time for Molynes United to defy the odds and get a rare win.

Re: Molynes suffer seventh straight loss to Mount Pleasant.
There was nothing Pleasant about Mount as they inflicted the 7th consecutive beating of Molynes United at Constant Spring winning 4-1 while missing a penalty.
It was the third consecutive win for Mount Pleasant courtesy of goals by Cardel Benbow (2nd), Sue-Lae McCalla (38th), Kevaughn Isaacs (49th) and Kemar Beckford (81st). They closed the gap at the top to just one point sitting in 34 points.
For Molynes United it was their seventh straight line and their 10th in their last 12 games. Jeremy Nelson scored a penalty in the 84th minute as they stayed in ninth on 20 points but could slip further if Tivoli Gardens beat Cavalier on Monday.
The promoted Molynes had won their first six games and led the Red Stripe Premier League but have not won since to be sitting just six points above the relegation zone and looking nervously over their shoulders.
Meanwhile, leaders, Waterhouse FC were held to a 1-1 draw by Dunbeholden FC. Andre McFarlane scored for Dunbeholden in the 51st minute while Keithy Simpson netted for Waterhouse in minute 73. Waterhouse is on top with 35 points while Dunbeholden is eighth with 22 points, just a point outside of the top six playoff positions.
At the Bowl, champion Portmore United defeated the University of the West Indies (UWI) 2-1 and consolidated fifth spot with 27 points. Cory Burke netted twice in the75th and 80th minutes while Thorn Simpson had given UWI a 37th-minute lead as they stayed in 11th spot on 14 points.
In the Clarendon derby, Humble Lion and Vere United battled to a 1-1 draw. Andrew Vanzie scored from the penalty spot for Humble Lion in the 25th minute while Xahne Reid did likewise for Vere in the 45+1 minute.
Humble Lion stayed in the fourth spot on 27 points while Vere United remained at the bottom with 14 points.
In the late kickoff at the Compound, the visiting Arnett Gardens clipped Harbour View 2-1. Paul Wilson and Romeo Guthrie scored for Arnett Gardens in the 6th and 32nd while an own goal by Jamar Martin gave Harbour View a lifeline. Arnett Gardens consolidated the third spot to be on 30 points, just five adrift of leader Waterhouse while Harbour View stayed in the sixth spot in 23 points.
