The race course is through the sparkling blue Caribbean Sea in the protected area of the Oracabessa Bay Fish Sanctuary. All ages and abilities are welcome.

The 007 Open Water Swim is a swim race around the Oracabessa Bay that starts and finishes at the legendary James Bond Beach, neighboring GoldenEye, the estate where Ian Fleming penned several of his James Bond novels, on the north coast of Jamaica. The second annual Lifespan 007 Open Water Swim Race will be held on October 5th, 2014 organized this year by the ASAJ in collaboration with the Oracabe

Jamaica is set to make another strong splash on the international stage as a 36-member delegation travels to Coral Springs, Florida, for the 2026 Worldwide Artistic Swimming Invitational, scheduled for May 1–3.

Another record has fallen at the 2026 Mayberry High/Tertiary Performance Swim Classic . This time the standard falling was in the 15-16 boys 50 metre freestyle . The new record holder is Julian Willoughby of Campion College. He swam to a time of 24.30. That bettered the 2012 mark by Wolmer's Boys standout Sidrell Williams.

Willoughby is the fastest 15-16 boy in Jamaican high school history with his 24.29 performance at the ISSA Jamaica meet in January. There he lowered the 2019 meet record of 24.60 by another Wolmer's standout Kyle Sinclair. That ISSA Jamaica performance also bettered Sinclair's overall 15-16 Jamaican high school mark of 24.56 set in 2020 at the ASAJ meet.

Julian will be looking end the season undefeated in the event having won the race at the ASAJ meet in February in 24.80. The future University of Pennsylvania student is also the reigning 15-17 national champion with a time of 23.76 at the 2026 Walter Rogers Age Group National Championship .

This afternoon Julian has the chance to become the first 15-16 boy to go under the 24 seconds mark in high school competition. He also has an opportunity to break the national 15-17 age group mark of 23.40 set by Justin Plaschka in 2014.
