This is rare, and we’re genuinely excited.😭🤍🤍

Manta rays don’t show up by chance. They follow clean water, healthy reefs, and strong plankton. Seeing this many in one day means the ecosystem of the Gulf of Aqaba is doing something right.

They are gentle, curious, and completely harmless, but also very sensitive to disturbance.

If you’re lucky enough to see one: keep your distance, don’t touch, and let them move freely.

In 1982 the ship sustained extensive damage during a fire. Following a request from King Abdullah, a keen diver himself, the vessel was deliberately sunk approximately 200 m offshore as an artificial reef for divers. Today the mighty ship is a home to many marine life.
