最近、
ChatGPT や Claude Code、Lovable などを使って、
アプリやサービスを作る相談が本当に増えてきました。

AIのおかげで、
「動くもの」を作るハードルは、
一気に下がったと思います。

ただその一方で、

・APIキーがコードにそのまま入っている
・認証や権限管理が弱い
・AIが生成したコードを誰も説明できない
・作った本人しか直せない

といったケースも増えてきています。

「作れること」と、
「安全に運用できること」は、
実はかなり別の話です。

最近考えていることや、
yoctoLaunchで取り組んでいる内容について、
記事を書きました。

Recently, we’ve been seeing a rapid increase in projects built with tools like ChatGPT, Claude Code, Lovable, and other AI-powered development platforms.

AI has dramatically lowered the barrier to building working applications.

However, we are also seeing growing issues around:

• exposed API keys
• weak authentication and access control
• unmaintainable AI-generated code
• systems that only the original creator can manage

“Being able to build something” and “being able to operate it safely” are completely different things.

I wrote about these challenges and what we are trying to solve with yoctoLaunch.

「身体と重力の関係を、データで理解する」

ということを、
ずっとやっているのかもしれません。

最近よく聞くようになった、
Physical AI / Embodied AI。

自分たちではそう呼んでいなかっただけで、
気づけばその流れの中にいた、
という感覚があります。

なぜ yoctoMat に1,200個以上のセンサーを入れているのか。

なぜ「重力」にこだわっているのか。

最近考えていることを、
かなり整理して書きました。

Recently, I took some time to organize my thoughts around yoctoMat and what we’ve actually been trying to build.

People often think of us as “a yoga mat company.”

But in reality, we may have been trying to understand:

“the relationship between the human body and gravity through data.”

Recently, terms like “Physical AI” and “Embodied AI” have started appearing everywhere.

Looking back, I realized we had already been moving in that direction long before we started using those words ourselves.

Why does yoctoMat contain more than 1,200 pressure sensors?

Why are we so focused on gravity?

We’re excited to announce that yocto has been selected for the ASPN Sports Tech Accelerator Batch 3 Kickoff Bootcamp, led by IAPS and supported by the APEC Sports Policy Network (ASPN).

Out of 86 startups from 27 countries and regions, yocto was selected as one of the global sportstech startups joining this year’s program.

At yocto, we are developing AI-powered smart mats that visualize balance, posture, and movement through pressure sensing technology for sports, wellness, rehabilitation, and preventive care.

After the initial internal review and selection process by our judging panel, we have finally determined which teams will advance to the first stage of the new ASPN Sports Tech Accelerator Batch — the Kickoff Bootcamp on June 3!

Supported by the Ministry of Sports, this year’s applications reached a record-breaking high, with 86 sport-tech startups from 27 countries joining us from Taiwan and around the world. Thank you for being part of our journey in 2025.

This year marked a big step forward for yocto —
from showcasing yoctoMat at CES 2025,
to joining global programs like GSAP and J-StarX,
and continuing real-world implementation across Japan.

On the product side, we made steady progress:
• Launching yoctoStabiFit
• Deploying yoctoHTRTFit in on-site fitness assessments
• Adding new features to yoctoApp to support better instruction and reflection

And now, we’re looking ahead.

In 2026, yoctoApp is evolving into an experience where progress becomes visible.

We’re currently developing a new Pose Comparison (Before & After) feature —
designed to visually compare past and present pose data,
so improvements in balance, load distribution, and stability aren’t just felt,
but clearly seen.

For instructors, it offers objective insight.
For practitioners, it turns daily practice into measurable progress.

A beta release is planned for mid-January 2026,
and this feature will continue to grow through real feedback from the field —
because at yocto, we don’t build for the community,
we build with it.

2025年も、
たくさんの応援をありがとうございました。

今年は
CES 2025への出展をはじめ、
グローバルプログラムへの参加、
国内での実証・社会実装など、
yoctoにとって「挑戦と前進」を実感する一年となりました。

プロダクト面では
✔️ yoctoStabiFit のリリース
✔️ yoctoHTRTFit の現場活用
✔️ yoctoApp の新機能追加
など、少しずつですが、確かな歩みを重ねてきました。

そして来年
yoctoApp は、“変化が見える”体験へ。

過去と現在のポーズデータを並べて確認できる
「ポーズ比較（ビフォーアフター）機能」を開発中です。

上達の過程や身体の変化を、
感覚だけでなく“データで実感できる”こと。
指導者にも、実践する方にも、
日々の積み重ねが伝わる仕組みを目指しています。

本機能は 2026年1月中旬にベータ版を先行リリース予定。
現場の声とともに育てていく機能として、
これからも磨き続けていきます。

Is yoga really as “safe” as we think?

In studios and gyms, injuries and pain often get treated as “small issues.”
But when we look at data from Japan and overseas, we see a different picture:
many of these cases quietly lead to breaks in practice and silent dropout.

In this article, we brought together evidence to explore:
• how often injuries and pain actually occur
• why they almost never appear as “reasons for quitting”
• what is happening behind the scenes of “I just stopped going”
• and how making invisible load and misalignment visible can change this
