🇳🇱 A little heat never stopped a great adventure.

Today in Kamakura, the summer sun was truly turned up — but this parent-and-child duo from the Netherlands weren’t about to let that slow them down. They came to us with one goal: reach the beach. So they hopped on their e-bikes, and the moment they started pedaling, the breeze did all the work. “Once you’re moving, the wind feels amazing,” they said with a smile as they rolled off into the summer haze. That’s the magic of an e-bike day in Kamakura — enjoy the ride, enjoy the rest of your trip!

🇳🇱 オランダからやってきた親子が、「ビーチまで行きたい！」と今日もBEETLE RIDERのEバイクを借りてくれた。鎌倉でも特別に暑いこの日、出発前に少しだけ心配になったけれど、走り出した瞬間に風が全部解決してくれるのがEバイクの醍醐味。「動いてれば気持ちいいよね」と笑顔で漕ぎ出していく二人の背中が、なんとも夏らしくて清々しかった。素敵な夏の思い出になりますように。

🇮🇳 All the way from India — and they did Kamakura right.

Two guests rode with us today, weaving through every highlight the city has to offer — Hokokuji’s bamboo groves, the Great Buddha, Hasedera, and all the way out to Enoshima. They even stopped for curry pasta at Hasedera, which honestly sounds like the perfect mid-ride fuel. Getting to Enoshima by Enoden or bus can eat up a surprising amount of your day, but on an E-BIKE you just glide there — more time to explore, less time waiting. It was a full, beautiful day on two wheels, and we’re so glad we could be part of it. Safe travels back home, and come ride with us again someday!

インドからやってきた2人が、今日は鎌倉をまるごと満喫してくれた。報国寺の竹林をぬけ、大仏さまに手を合わせ、長谷寺ではカレーパスタを食べたそう。そして江ノ電やバスでは時間がかかる江ノ島まで、Eバイクでスイスイと走り抜けてくれた。鎌倉も江ノ島も、自分のペースで動けるのがEバイクの一番の魅力。また鎌倉に来るときは、ぜひ一緒に走りましょう。

Three friends, one sunny Kamakura day — the best kind of escape from the everyday. 🇯🇵

A trio of good friends rode into our shop all the way from Chiba, and honestly, they brought the best energy with them. After picking up their e-bikes, they made their way to Good Souvenir and coffee — a seriously cool spot carrying Kamakura-inspired apparel that we’d recommend to anyone rolling through town. If you haven’t checked it out yet, put it on the list. We’re already plotting our next visit to Chiba too, because one of the crew works at the legendary local burger joint .burger, and let’s just say we’ve been given a very compelling reason to make the trip. No fixed plan, no fixed route. Just two friends, a pair of e-bikes, and the open coast of Kamakura ahead of them. We pointed them toward the iconic level crossing at Shichiri-ga-hama — yes, *that* crossing, made famous by Slam Dunk — and off they went. Today we had a wonderful duo from Russia join us for an e-bike ride out to Enoshima and the iconic Shichiri Crossing — one of those quiet rail-side spots that feels like it belongs in a film. Before they headed off, both of them stuck a BEETLE RIDER sticker right onto their iPhones, and honestly, that never gets old for us. モロッコから3人で鎌倉を訪れてくれた。竹林で知られる報国寺から、スラムダンクの聖地として名高いあの踏切まで、Eバイクを駆ってまちのあちこちを巡ってくれたそう。「Eバイクがあればどこでもすぐに行ける」と、鎌倉をたっぷり満喫してくれた様子だった。また鎌倉に来るときは、ぜひまた一緒に走りましょう。

Real riders, new roads. 🇯🇵

A couple rode in from Tokyo to spend a Sunday with us in Kamakura — and these two are no strangers to two wheels. They're shovelhead and Evo riders at home, with a third custom build already on order. Today though, they swapped the thunder for something a little lighter and let the coast lead the way. Fresh seafood in Kotsubo, then up through the hills to Meigetsu-in, where the hydrangeas were in full bloom. The kind of ride that stays with you long after you're back in the city. 東京からカップルで遊びに来てくれた。ふだんはショベルヘッドとエボに乗るバイカーで、3台目のカスタムオーダーも進行中だそう。今日は鎌倉の風に身を任せ、小坪で新鮮な海の幸を堪能し、あじさいが見頃を迎えた明月院へ。エンジン音のない静かなライドだからこそ感じられる景色もある。またいつでも走りに来てください。

🌺🇲🇽🇵🇭 From the islands to the hills of Kamakura — some adventures start with a house hunt.

We had a wonderful couple from Hawaii (with roots in Mexico and the Philippines) join us for an E-BIKE ride along the coast. Their mission? Scoping out real estate in Zushi and Hayama — and honestly, we can't think of a better way to explore a neighborhood than on two wheels. They told us the bikes felt just right: compact, easy to handle, and perfect for weaving through the winding seaside roads. Something tells us this might not be their last ride here.

🇩🇪 Five friends, no plan, just the open road — our favourite kind of ride.

We had a wonderful group from Germany roll up to BEETLE RIDER today, ready for a full four hours of pure freestyle exploring. No destination, no itinerary — just five good friends chasing whatever Kamakura had to offer, winding their way through the coast and backroads at their own pace. It’s the kind of ride that reminds us why we love what we do. They’ve been travelling Japan for two weeks now, and next up is Nikko — not exactly the first stop most visitors think of, and honestly? We love that for them.
